Introduction:
Coke studio is a Pakistani music television series. In this show various artist
perform for their fan & audience. Coke Studio bring different artist on one
platform form. These artists belong to different regions of Pakistan. Coke
Studio can be sourced of creating harmony & peace among different cultures. Coke
studio is recording live songs which are singing by different artists.
This show was produced by coca cola Company & different frequency of media. It
first season was started in 2008. But now days, they are recording their season
6. Coke Studio has been popular throughout the country, receiving critical
acclaim and frequently being rebroadcast on numerous television and radio
stations. Coke studio season 6 will be aired on 40 channels across Pakistan this
year.
Focus of Coke Studio:
The program focuses on a fusion of diverse musical influence in Pakistan which
include: Eastern classical,folk, Qawwli, Bhangra , Sufi &Contemporary hip hop &
Rock music.
This year will incorporate global music influences spanning from "Fes, Morocco,
to the Balkans, the Ottoman, and Kathmandu, Nepal." With this added dimension in
this season can give Pakistani music global identity. Through coke studio
Pakistani music is accessible for international artist & audience. This
dimension can also encourage international artist to adopt & integrate Pakistani
music into their own compositions.

1).‘Laili Jaan’ is a song that took the world of Afghan Pop by storm in the 70’s
by a man who is considered as the King of Afghan music – Ahmad Zahir. While
Afghanistan is known for its wealth of heritage music, Zahir contributed towards
creating a legacy of Pop and Rock music that mirrored Elvis Presley, which led
him to be regarded as the ‘Elvis of Afghanistan’. The song talks about classic
heartbreak.
This Season Zeb & Haniya take on the song as an ode to Ahmad Zahir as well as
reimagining the song through the female perspective of a song sung by a man. The
song is reminiscent of a time where the rich tunes of Afghan music prevailed in
various parts of the world and had become a huge part of growing up in cities
like Peshawar.

2).Song "Babu Bhai "by Azamat Ali. In this song musical instruments for
composing music are guitar, drums & piano. Lyrics of this song is matching with
the thoughts & objectives of today human who belong to Islamic society. He will
prefer money always as compare to relations, feeling, wrong/ right. The basic
purpose of today man is earning money. They don’t care what means they are
using. Basically, this song is showing evil part of human being.
In my opinion, coke studio is working well in terms of highlighting Pakistani
music industry at global level. It is giving platform to artist to perform &
musician to compose music. This season is different because of fusion music.it
also giving us positive identity at international level.
