Guest Is Blessing Of God

Guest is one of the greatest
blessings of abundant blessing of God. Every new comer guest brings his
livelihood from God with him. God extends livelihood of that house where guests
come. So one should serve the guest open heartedly .The service of guest is an
obligation.
Hospitality the guests should be done in good manners. It has degrees and
rewards from God, there it is the sign of; social honour and grace, has great
value among people.
According to the Habit of the Holy Prophet (SAW); “Service of guest should be
done for 3 days. It is an obligation. When he leaves we should go to the door
for saying him “Good Bye”.
The guest has priority on the host. Honour of guest is the duty of host.
Hospitality, where increases the honour and grace of individuals, there it takes
the nations to the highest peaks. The nations get good status in the world.
The Holy Prophet (SAW) served the guests in good manners. He (SAW) manages the
food, rest and comfortable stay for the guests.
Once a guest came to a sohabi’s home .The host has food only for one person.
There were only two breads. If the host eats the guest has nothing to eat. The
wife of the host told the worry to her husband. In this situation the host told
his wife, while serving the dinner, you blow the lamp off, for repairing. Thus
the guest ate heartedly and host remained hungry. This was the way of the
hostness of those people.
Another incident in Islamic History shoes that the guest is blessing in every
case of life. Once in Baghdad, the son of merchant was killed by someone. Police
was raiding in whole city to arrest the murderer. The killer while running away
from police reached at the door of that merchant and asked for shelter. He
allowed him to come in. He served him with milk. When police move away and
darkness descended on, he paid some money and said that you are killer my son,
but at this time you are my guest and I am your host. And the guest is blessing
of God. Now neither I can hand you over to police not kill you, because you are
my guest. Now, please take this money and search for new shelter. This was the
hostness of the guests and this hostness is served just thinking that The guests
are blessings of God. We should show great respect and care to them.
