Japan calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza
Japan has called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the continuation of humanitarian aid in the war torn region.

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa, in a statement, said Japan continues to support for solution in the Middle East despite the US veto on Palestine's bid for full membership of the United Nations.

Meanwhile, South African Minister of International Relations Naledi Pandor and Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Mauro Vieira emphasized the necessity of recognizing the State of Palestine and putting an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

They said that there will be no peace without an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
