U.S. Commercial Service leads Pakistani business delegation tolargest solar power trade show in North America [HamariWeb] 12 Sep, 2017

The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) will lead a six-member delegation of Pakistani companies to Solar Power International (SPI), to be held at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada, September 10-13.

SPI is North America’s largest solar show. In 2016 the show had over 18,000 industry professionals and over 600 manufacturers, service providers and vendors from across the globe. SPI includes education sessions, networking events and a wide range of exhibitions.

The participating Pakistani companies will have the opportunity to gain deeper understanding of solar power technologies and business prospects. At this SPI, USCS will provide the Pakistani delegation with complimentary Expo registration, business-to-business matchmaking services with pre-screened U.S. suppliers, and complimentary use of the International Business Center available exclusively for international attendees and exhibitors. Pakistan will be one of more than 30 international delegations led by USCS.

Highlighting the importance of this exposition and the value to Pakistan’s energy sector participants, U.S. Commercial Counselor Steve Knode said, “We recognize that Pakistan has great potential for growth in solar power. Our initiative to lead a delegation to Solar Power International demonstrates our interest and commitment to showcase best-in-class U.S. technologies that can help Pakistan realize this potential.”

The United States is Pakistan’s largest trading partner, and in 2016, USCS led more than 200 Pakistani businesspeople to 15 U.S. states to build trade ties between the United States and Pakistan. These trade promotion events focus on increasing bi-lateral trade between our nations.
