صحن چمن میں شور بہاراں ہوا تو کیا
اک عمر رکھ کے روح مری تشنۂ نشاط
اب نغمۂ حیات پرافشاں ہوا تو کیا
جب میرے واسطے درمے خانہ بند ہے
صہبا میں غرق عالم امکاں ہوا تو کیا
ٹوٹے پڑے ہیں ساز محبت کے تار تار
اب شاہد خیال غزل خواں ہوا تو کیا
آدم نے ایک خوشۂ گندم کو کیا کیا
مجرم کبھی جو بھوک سے انساں ہوا تو کیا
