تم کیوں اداس ہو گئے کیا یاد آ گیا
کہنے کو زندگی تھی بہت مختصر مگر
کچھ یوں بسر ہوئی کہ خدا یاد آ گیا
واعظ سلام لے کہ چلا مے کدے کو میں
فردوس گم شدہ کا پتا یاد آ گیا
برسے بغیر ہی جو گھٹا گھر کے کھل گئی
اک بے وفا کا عہد وفا یاد آ گیا
مانگیں گے اب دعا کہ اسے بھول جائیں ہم
لیکن جو وہ بوقت دعا یاد آ گیا
حیرت ہے تم کو دیکھ کے مسجد میں اے خمارؔ
کیا بات ہو گئی جو خدا یاد آ گیا
