اب اختتام باب ضروری سا ہو گیا
ہم چپ رہے تو اور بھی الزام آئے گا
اب کچھ نہ کچھ جواب ضروری سا ہو گیا
ہم ٹالتے رہے کہ یہ نوبت نہ آنے پائے
پھر ہجر کا عذاب ضروری سا ہو گیا
ہر شام جلد سونے کی عادت ہی پڑ گئی
ہر رات ایک خواب ضروری سا ہو گیا
آہوں سے ٹوٹتا نہیں یہ گنبد سیاہ
اب سنگ آفتاب ضروری سا ہو گیا
دینا ہے امتحان تمہارے فراق کا
اب صبر کا نصاب ضروری سا ہو گیا
