For the first time we,
Karakites, are sharing the feelings of Baluchs; thanks to the state run media
that pictures Baluchs as traitors, agents of foreign spy agencies and people who
want to pose serious threats to the federation of our dear mother land.
We were not aware of our Baluchs’ brothers in faith feelings and thinking, and
were fully hypnotized by the state propaganda, had we were not bestowed with the
large reserves of natural gas and oils here in Karak. How disturbing is the fact
that we have been deprived of the wealth of the gas produced in our neighborhood
which is being supplied to other areas of the country. And this is the reason
that Baluchs can not be blamed for the protest; and after such a long protest if
anti state elements and enemy agencies find their ways to enter their ranks is
the thing that cannot be astonished of.
Why the state machinery is not hearing the voices of the masses. And how is that
the state is not fulfilling its responsibility?
A welfare state is one which provides all the amenities of life in its hands to
all its citizens with out any discrimination, without any protest or demand from
the masses—tax payers. Can ours be called a welfare state in this regard?
If this is the policy of state to supply on demand and protest then how it
demands loyalty and sacrifice from its citizens. Is Karak not in the territory
of Pakistan?
The natural gas digging out from the soil of Karak is being supplied to other
parts of the country but Karakites are deprived of this blessing of the Creator.
Most of the population can not burn their hearths with this magic air. Some big
villages and towns like Latamber, Surdag, Rahmat Abad, Takht-e-Nastratti, Ahmad
Abad, Mandawa, Bahadur Khel and others are still waiting for gas though
pipelines have been extended to them just to calm them from any protest, but for
how long they can be deprived?
Being in the vicinity of Afghanistan, if enemy spies enter in the ranks of
Khattaks, the residents of Karak, and are being misused by them who will be
responsible? Who is bent upon making Baluchistan of our peaceful and peace
loving Karak?
If natural gas is supplied for domestic use a lot of electricity can be saved
for industrial purpose. But why should this be done?--If there comes self
sufficiency in ‘power’ then who will get cooks-bake and commission from
multi-national IPPs, who are bent upon making our exploitation by encouraging
their western master to help keeping our corrupt strata in power.
How far this twenty percent stratum of our society will enjoy the resources of
our dear mother land and the rest of the entity will only watch and cast its
vote for them to keep them in power and run the state machinery??
