#ModelTown Incident a considerable challenge
Today a tragic incident has competed 5 years. The Model Town Massacre, more commonly known as the Model Town tragedy or the Lahore massacre, or simply Lahore incident, was a violent clash that ensued between the Punjab Police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek activists on 17 June 2014 resulting in several protesters being killed by the police gunfire.14 innocent citizens were martyred and more than 100 affectees got serious injuries during this state terrorism. Some incidents happen like this which has been considerable challenge for govt and also for judicial system like #12MayIncident, #BaldiaTownIncident and also this one #ModelTonIncident.

On june 16 a meeting was held under chairmanship of Punjab Law minister, Rana Sanaullah where it was decided to remove barriers around Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran and Qadri’s residence. Punjab chief secretary consented on behalf of the Chief Minister Punjab for the removal of barriers. Then actual massacre occurred. The police shot dead two women, Shazia and Tanzeela, while firing straight into the crowd, the latter supported by video footage. Zero footage show firing from PAT side or any PAT worker even wielding a firearm. And then u has seen how PMLN has stopped investigation in his regime. Even former Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz said Pakistani Awami Tahreek (PAT) and its allied political parties were doing politics over Model Town Incident to achieve their political and personal interests. An investigation Commission was formed and after investigation Justice Baqar Najfi presented report but it was not made public and even he was blamed for profession. Then JIT was formed and culprits of incident were organizer of this JIT and according to report of this JIT Rana Sana Ullah was restored.

Now in PTI govt, Imran Khan made 2 promises 1st to form new JIT which was later on formed and 2nd to suspend to all culprits but unfortunately still no one is suspended, Mushtaq Sukera was suspended by LHC but later on he was restored by stay order of Islamabad High Court. All others are still enjoying their posts even Captain Retired Usman who was DCO at that time is still not suspended.Then a new barrier in seeking justice was Lahore High Court give order to newly formed JIT to stop investigation. Now Bisma Amjad daughter of shaheed Tanzila Amjad has challenged this order of LHC in Supreme Court. Bisma Amjad is same applicant under whose application former chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took suo moto action on this case. Now PAT has challenged in Supreme Court that LHC could not grant this order coz in Perveen Rahman Murder Case, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh of LHC has refused to give relief of stopping JIT of that case. PAT has also claimed that LHC has stopped criminal investigation by interim order, which is against many orders of Supreme Court as Supreme Court in different cases and Article 10 (A) of Constitution of Pakistan 1973.

Let’s see when Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, set this case for hearing and which judges will include in it. it’s a big challenge for PTI government to remove culprits and also for Supreme Court to do justice because Ahmad Awais has claimed that LHC stop investigation because it was danger for Sharif Family as 14 including Nawaz sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Abid Sher ALI, Khawaja Saad Rafique are considered culprits of this incident. Model Town was in every sense a massacre.As with more massacres,justice is still awaited!
