Indians cry but never correct
(Anwar Parveen, Rawalpindi)
With nearly 60% of the Indian population depending on
agriculture, the growing farmers’ rebellion has rattled Modi’s administration.
He is unable to handle the protestors overthe controversial farm bill 2020.
Protesters are intensifying their demonstrations against new agriculture laws
and continuously blocking key highways on the outskirts of New Delhi. But Modi
is not willing to reverse the actions and therefore is prolonging the issue,
with hope that they would disperse like Shaheenbaghians.
On the other hand, India that has a history of interference in other countries,
is now protesting against the Canadian PM’s remarks regarding New Farm Bill. The
scenario is no different, when Pakistan asks India to respect human rights in
Kashmir. Canada did the same and asked India to respect human rights of Punjabis
and Haryana farmers. But Modi government keeps protesting: to Canada over Sikhs,
to Pakistan over Kalbhushan, G-B and Kashmir issue, to Afghanistan, Bangladesh,
Sri Lanka and Nepal for getting close to Pak-China, to China for embarrassing
punishment, to USA for no longer saying a word against Pakistan, to Russia for
getting close to Pakistan. Indians cry, but never try to correct themselves.
