The Muslim Clerics in Politics

Some people believe that the
Muslim clerics should not join politics because they think that after joining
politics, the clerics can harm Islam. But I think that Islam itself emphasizes
to join politics so that Islamic rules should be enforced in states or
countries. When we study Islam, we learn that our holy prophet Muhammad (Peace
Be Upon Him) and His companions at that time took part in politics.
Khulafa-e-Rashidin were chosen unanimously by the Muslims to govern so that
everybody could avail justice and peace!
Today, the Muslim clerics have forgotten the real Islamic politics and they
themselves are found running after governance so that they can govern according
to their will! In Pakistan, sometimes the clerics are found in Hajj corruption,
sometimes in Land-grabbing and so on! They are actually defaming Islam by their
bad deeds!
Maulana Fazal-Ur-Rehman is considered to be a controversial personality as he is
a Maulana. Everybody knows that he has many times harmed Muslim unity a lot!
Though his name consists of three beautiful and respectable names “Maulana”,
“Fazal” and “Rehman”, he has disgraced his name by his deeds! He is in fact not
a Maulana but a real politician. He is the worshipper of government seats and
always wants to be adjoined with the government!
Previously he caused to destroy Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) which came after
great efforts from various Ulamas and leaders of various religious parties! As
people thought that MMA would surely resolve all their problems, the Maulana
showed his real face and unfortunately, MMA was destroyed!
On the one hand the Maulana is recently visiting London to meet the president
Zardari on the other hand he is trying to make good relationships with MQM in
opposition! What does Maulana want?! Why does he do those acts which people and
other religious parties avoid?! In fact he is fond of being in news because he
likes fame but his deeds have made him notorious! The Maulana should afraid of
Allah and do the work for Islamic rules and regulations in the country! It would
be better for him to find a place in people’s hearts in spite of interlinked
with those who are not sincere with Pakistan!
