Determining the winner of the Iran-Israel 12-Day War is complex, as both sides achieved varying levels of success in the various phases of the war.
Israel has demonstrated advanced technological capabilities including AI powered weapons, utilized AI-driven systems for precision strikes inside Iran as well as for its own defense. Its cyber warfare wing conducted cyberattacks on Iranian Infrastructure and nuclear facilities. Advanced and sophisticated drones including Indian origin Hermes 900-drones were not only used for reconnaissance missions but for surgical strikes. Mossad not only carried out sabotage activities inside Iran but also operated drone base which was used to eliminate the top military leadership of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) with pin point precision. Netanyahu have hinted at the possibility of regime change in Iran. Israel’s missile defense systems including Iron Dome intercepted and destroyed a majority of Iranian projectiles which are clear plus points of Israel warfare technologies. Israel claims to have successfully disrupted Iran's nuclear ambitions, destroyed key facilities, and responded effectively to Iranian missiles. They also emphasize the strength of their Iron Dome defense system, which intercepted 90% of Iranian drones and missiles.
Though International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) clearly suggested Iran has not crossed the threshold to nuclear weaponization, Israel was successful to get involved United States directly in the war through fake propaganda and powerful zionist lobby regarding Iran’s nuclear program. US launched military strikes against three Iranian nuclear sites i.e. Natanz, Fordow and Arak. President Donald Trump mentioned the possibility of regime change, but the effectiveness and feasibility of this goal are uncertain. He insisted that the strikes on several of Iran’s nuclear sites last week “completely destroyed” the facilities but initial intelligence evaluation suggested that the US bombardment failed to destroy Iran’s underground nuclear facilities, the attacks only set Tehran’s nuclear program back by a few months.
Iran, having eliminated their top brass, through its timely decision, appointed a new military leadership that played a leading role in the war. Iran demonstrated their technological capabilities, including missile systems successfully launched ballistic missiles against Israeli targets and Drones utilized for attacks on Israeli territory. On the first day of war, Iran claimed to have shown strategic resistance and defiance by launching over 300 drones and missiles, retaliating with long-range missiles that reached Israeli urban centers and demonstrating its capability to challenge Israel’s missile defense systems. Israel and USA, on the other hand, were not expecting such a massive counter attack from Iran.
The Secretary-General’s remarks came amid a mounting civilian toll in both Israel and Iran. Over 100 targets have been struck across Iran, including military and nuclear infrastructure such as the Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities and the Khondab heavy water reactor. Iranian officials report over 224 civilian deaths, with some estimates twice as high. More than 2,500 have been injured reportedly, while major cities like Tehran have seen mass displacements, fuel shortages and widespread panic. Iran has responded with its own barrage of missile strikes on Israel, hitting cities such as Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beersheba. Critical civilian sites, including the Soroka Medical Center and the Weizmann research institute, have been damaged. Twenty-four Israelis are confirmed dead, with more than 900 injured.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on June 22 issued the Istanbul Declaration after a ministerial meeting, strongly condemning Israel 's recent attacks on Iran, Syria, and Lebanon, and calling on the international community to take immediate deterrent measures.
Iran’s brotherly country and neighbor Pakistan navigated a delicate balancing act in the Iran-Israel conflict, prioritizing diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation. Pakistan has condemned Israel's actions, with its UN representative, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stating that Iran has the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and by stating that Iran has the right of civil nuclear technology. Pakistan advocated for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict, urging the international community to prioritize peaceful solutions.
As a result, Iran successfully defended itself and Israel failed to achieve the goals of regime change, destroying nuclear facilities and disarming missile technology in Iran. Israel desperately approached United States of America to destroy the nuclear sites of Iran. Iran has proven that Israel's claim of having the best defense system is just a claim. After an operation, US ended the conflict on announcement of ceasefire between Iran and Israel with the mediation of Qatar.
