Former staff demand immediate disbursement of Provident Fund and pending salaries

A growing number of former employees of the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) have come forward with serious grievances regarding the non-payment of their Provident Fund (PF) and last month’s salary, sparking calls for intervention from the Labour Department in Sukkur.

SRSO, a government-funded non-profit working across Sindh to promote rural development, is now facing criticism for allegedly failing to fulfill its financial obligations to outgoing staff. Despite repeated requests and formal complaints, affected employees claim they have not received their final dues, which include their PF contributions and salaries for the last month of service.

One former employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated: “We dedicated years to serving communities under SRSO’s mission. It’s disheartening that after leaving, we are forced to chase what is rightfully ours.”

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against my former employer, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO), for failing to disburse my pending dues, including:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Salary for the last working month
- Experience Certificates
Despite repeated verbal and written requests, the organization has not taken any steps to release the aforementioned payments May-2025, as per policy SRSO should release PF Fund within a month. This delay has caused me significant financial hardship and is in clear violation of labor laws and employee rights.

I request the Labour Department to kindly take immediate action in this matter by:
- Investigating the delay in payment.
- Directing SRSO to release my pending PF and salary without further delay.
- Ensuring such violations are not repeated with other employees.
The issue has reportedly affected multiple individuals, some of whom have submitted formal complaints to the Labour Department Sukkur, urging authorities to investigate and compel SRSO to release the pending payments. The delay, they argue, violates labor laws and undermines the organization’s stated commitment to transparency and accountability.

SRSO’s official website outlines a grievance redressal mechanism, including dedicated email addresses for employee complaints ([email protected]). However, complainants allege that their concerns have gone unanswered or unresolved for months.

Labour rights advocates stress that withholding PF and salary payments not only breaches contractual obligations but also places undue financial stress on workers who may already be navigating career transitions. They are calling on the Labour Department to take swift action to ensure compliance with employment laws and protect workers’ rights.

As of now, SRSO has not issued a public statement addressing the allegations. Meanwhile, affected employees continue to seek justice, hoping that media attention and official scrutiny will lead to the release of their rightful dues.

For those impacted, the Labour Department Sukkur encourages submission of formal complaints with supporting documentation, including appointment letters, salary slips, and correspondence with SRSO.
