Pakistan is the blessing and a gift of Almighty Allah. Thanks Allah Almighty that we have an independent country of our own. Pakistan is our identity, our beloved country and a center of our loftiest thoughts and sentiments. We all love it and pray for its strength, prosperity and integrity. It is a country culturally and historically very rich. It’s base is “ La ilaha Illalah” monotheism, Tauheed, oneness of Almighty Allah. It is second country in human history after “ Riyasat e Madina” whose foundation was laid on pure Tauheed, with an Islamic ideology.
Whatever the scenario is today in India, has been much before perceived by Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqba, Maulana Muhammad Ali Jahur, Maulana Zafar Ali khan and other leaders of Pakistan movement. Mohandas Gandhi the congress leader and the founder of modern India when he tried to calm down extremist Hindus and requested that Muslims are citizens of India and must be given equal rights this annoyed extremists and Gandhi was killed on 30th January 1948 by a terrorist “ Nathuram Godse” . He was activist of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS) a terrorist Hindu paramilitary organization, he was also a member of Hindu Mahasabha. RSS not only murdered Gandhi, celebrated his murder and distributed sweet among people to express its joy, jubilance and happiness. This RSS is now part of Indian government and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the sworn activist of RSS. Current Indian government is pursuing the idea of “Hindutva” . It is Hindu nationalist political ideology encompassing the belief in establishing Hindu hegemony within India. The political ideology was formulated by Vinayak Damudar Savarkar in 1922. It is used by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) , the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), the current ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Hindutva movement was affiliated with Italian fascism and Nazism during interwar period. This fascist ideology. RSS is inherited Muslim enmity in its blood. Therefore what we see in today’s India it the outcome of more than a century old struggle of RSS and Hindutva ideology.
There is a planned genocide of Muslims in India. Babri Masjid was turned into a Hindu temple and endorsed by Indian Supreme court. Burqa and Hijab is banned in many parts of India. An Indian Muslim scholar Maulana Sajjad Nomani said about 800,000 Muslim girls were forced to convert as Hindu by RSS youth activists and these girls were registered as Hindu in marriage bureau. Maulana Kalim ullah Siddiqui a great Muslim scholar, preacher of love and peace has been arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment . Dr. Zakir Naik the renowned comparative religion scholar has been declared , “ Terrorist” by Indian extremist government. There is a planned and organized “ Genocide “ and “ Butchery” in Indian occupied Kashmir” where Yaseen Malik is lingering in death cell of Indian jail. Hindutva extremism is not confined to Narendra Modi , potential successor to him within the BJP include Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who is backed by a strong group of RSS. Another name is Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath who is equal extremist and worst enemy of Muslims like Narendra Modi.
This situation was realized much before by visionary leaders like Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal and Pakistan resolution 23rd Marc1940 when Muslims unanimously declared their destination “ PAKISTAN”. Pakistan Resolution was a landmark document demanding independent state for Muslims in the Northwestern and Eastern zones of undivided India. It formally pivoted the Muslim League from seeking political safeguards to demanding a separate homeland, eventually leading to the creation of Pakistan on 14th August 1947.
Allama Muhammad Iqbal was the first who gave the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of subcontinent. In his address at Allahabad session of Muslim League in 1930, he outlined a vision of independent state for the great Muslim majority provinces in northern India, his ideas was based on “ TWO NATION THEORY” that Muslims are a distinct nation and thus deserve political independence from other regions and communities of India. Allama Iqbal defined the Muslims of India as a nation and suggested that there could be no possibility of peace in the country unless and until they were recognized as a nation and under a federal system, the Muslim majority units were given the same privileges which were to be given to the Hindu majority units. It was the only way in which both the Muslims and the Hindus could prosper in accordance with their respective cultural values. In his speech, he emphasized that unlike Christianity, Islam came with "legal concepts" with "civic significance," with its "religious ideals" considered as inseparable from social order: "therefore, the construction of a policy on national lines, if it means a displacement of the Islamic principle of solidarity, is simply unthinkable to a Muslim.
The idea was more vividly expressed by Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in an article in the London weekly Time & Tide on 9 March 1940.
Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah wrote:
Democratic systems based on the concept of homogeneous nations such as England are very definitely not applicable to heterogeneous countries such as India, and this simple fact is the root cause of all of India's constitutional ills. If, therefore, it is accepted that there is in India a major and a minor nation , it follows that a paramilitary system based on the majority principle must inevitably mean the rule of major nation. Experience has proved that whatever the economic and political program of any political Party, the Hindu, as a general rule, will vote for his caste fellow, the Muslim for his coreligionist.
Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar and Maulana Shaukat Ali energized the freedom movement through their speeches and writings, urging Muslims to persist in their struggle. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s educational endeavors also raised awareness among Muslims and acquainted them with modern education.
Liaquat Ali Khan, one of Quaid-e-Azam’s close associates, worked diligently for the cause of Pakistan and later became the first Prime Minister of the country. Fatima Jinnah played a crucial role in mobilizing women and involving them as an active part of the freedom movement.
Ultimately, the Pakistan Resolution paved the way for the establishment of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. This resolution proved to be the starting point of independence, uniting Muslims in their pursuit of a sovereign nation. Today, as we enjoy the blessings of freedom, we owe much of it to the sacrifices and struggles of these great leaders.
Pakistan played a very important and vital role for the cause of Muslim ummah. Leaders of independence of Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia used to travel on Pakistani Passport. Pakistan always supported independence of Palestine. The first, second, third air chiefs of United Arab Emirates were Pakistani. A Pakistani Air Marshal Azim Dawood Pota developed Zimbabwe’s Air Force. Malaysia’s current Air Chief is a Pakistani origin Asghar Khan . While there was a mass killing of Muslims in Bosnia Herzegovina it was Pakistan army which helped Bosnian Muslims.
It is our duty now to dedicate all our energy, resources and talent to convert Pakistan into a stable, developed and strongest one. May Allah shower His countless blessings on the graves of our Martyrs, our Shuhada who are our asset. We should express our solidarity with Shuhada’s families. Our beloved armed forces are our asset and we are proud of them.
