Increased a load sheddig bane
(Mohammad Abdullah, karachi)
THE KESC has announced
increased loadshedding for a further half hour from May 16 in excess of the
usual loadshedding hours. This is not justified. Also, during late-night hours
electricity goes off without any prior notice. Why should the KESC test our
patience in this hot and humid weather?
We would like to know on which day and date the KESC will launch a massive
crackdown against kunda users and electricity thieves? The KESC should take the
following measures: (i) Arrangements should be made to eliminate or reduce
loadshedding to the minimum.
(ii) Loadshedding should be stopped during late-night hours as this practice is
depriving genuine and regular pay masters of the electricity for which they pay
all their bills regularly on time.
(iii) Dues should be recovered from those who are defaulters and stern action
should be taken without any discrimination against ‘kunda’ users and electricity
thieves without any let or fear.
