On 28th July 2014, we are
completing 100 years since the initiation of World War-I.
Humanity was still licking its wounds caused by World War-I when, just within 20
years, it experienced another great massacre in 1939 in the shape of World
War-II. The period from 1939 to 1945 is full of such dreadful events that still
don’t allow humanity to feel any pride on itself rather badly ashamed of those.
Millions were dead and far more than them were alive but worse than those who
died, being injured, assaulted, raped and even “nuclearised”.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the places, which made the Japanese learn, realize,
exactly know and experience as to what a war is and what its effects are. They
genuinely felt the need of peace for humanity and humans and even for every form
of life to survive. Except them no one else could comprehend the disaster and
the long lasting upset, a war can bring. Rest of the world that caused such
nuclear attacks, supported or abetted the same was in a state of glory of
victory; completely devoid of the capability to understand the value of peace.
If all the countries at war during World War-II would have experienced similar
nuclear attacks on two mega cities of each of them, entire world would have
sought forbid from waging war till they could forget that, I believe.
In the frenzy of glory of victory what we learnt was inventing more disastrous
weapons and their carriers. We tried to use the space as well, as our future
points to attack the humans and every living creature on earth.
Despite establishment of the UNO, we could not control wars among various
countries of the world and finally became a witness to the historical event of
dissolution of the USSR which was unique in its nature and could not be
conceived in ordinary course coupled with many other geo-political changes in
the global map. We thus said farewell to the 20th century in serious blood shed,
smokes and fire.
The new century emerged at the horizon though with the repetition of earlier
massacres but with a newly added threat of terror. Now we got another enemy and
thus another front to fight. Terror and war against terror became our priority.
It appears that we humans have learnt only one lesson throughout the history of
mankind as to how to kill each other on any pretext of our choice. We always
gave gifts of blood, disaster, distress, disabled persons, dead bodies and
dead-like females to each other without appreciating the equality and parity of
the right of all of us to survival, honor and property.
Can’t we still learn a lesson?
On the completion of 100 years to the initiation of World War-I, it is the right
time to give a slap to the face of war, the war lords and the war mindset. I
PROPOSE THAT ON THIS OCCASION, WE MUST OBSERVE THE PERIOD FROM 28TH JULY 2014 TO
27TH JULY 2015 OR THE ENTIRE NEXT CALENDAR YEAR 2015 (FROM 1ST JANUARY TO 31ST
DECEMBER) AS “NO WAR YEAR”. We should give the humans and the humanity this
special and well pondered gift of peace as a token of feeling of being ashamed
of what we and our ancestors did to them!
I appeal the UN Secretary General to give a thought to this humble submission
and convince its members and the entire world to refrain from waging war by a
sovereign against another sovereign for at least one year;
I appeal to all Heads of the States to maintain peace and not to wage war
against any country for a very small period of one year that makes almost a zero
fraction to human history;
I also appeal to all ethnic, racial, sectarian and religious warriors to stop
blood shed for just one year as requested above.
Will any one like to reply to our last 100 years of disaster and sabotage with
and through this message of actual peace?
