A CONSPIRACY UNVEILED
(Muhammad Latif, Islamabad)
Indian Prime Minister Narindera
Modi was recently in Dhaka to sign an agreement on resolving the longstanding
border dispute with Bangladesh, besides inking 20 other agreements and MoUs
(memorandums of understanding) on infrastructure, energy, health and education.
The exchange of souvenirs between him and Prime Minister Hasina Wajid was
meaningful as the atmosphere was fully charged with anti-Pakistan sentiments and
the intent of Indian political leadership was visibly clear. The Indian Prime
Minister presented Sheikh Hasina a portrait of signing of surrender ceremony of
East Pakistan. Mr Modi did not mince his words in openly confessing Indian
support in creating, equipping and training Mukti Bahini to fight Pakistan Army.
He was so emotionally charged that he proudly admitted his physical
participation in so called liberation of Bangladesh unveiling a Conspiracy India
has always been denying.
The followers of Chanakya have never accepted/ digested the idea of division of
India and creation of Pakistan. Against the basic spirit of Radcliffe Award on
boundary commission, India forcefully annexed Muslim majority States of Jammu &
Kashmir, Hyderabad Deccan and Junagarh. With overt and covert British support,
cunning Hindu manipulated distribution of assets specially financial and
military equipment to keep the newly borne state of Pakistan fragile. The aim
was to prove the Ideology of Pakistan and Two Nations Theory wrong thus paving
the way for reunification of India at an opportune moment. Bounded by India,
East Pakistan was specially vulnerable to the Indian interference and having
failed to achieve politico-military aim during 1965 War in West Pakistan, India
shifted her focus to East Pakistan.
The power struggle that ensued following 1970 Elections between the two wings
afforded an opportunity to the shrewd enemy to strike and turn the conspiracy
into reality. Mukti Bahini was created under the direct supervision of RAW to
wage a civil war to weaken the writ of Central Government in isolated East
Pakistan and pave the way for dismemberment and creation of a pliant state to
creep closer to getting the dream of "Akhand Bharat" come true. 1971 War imposed
by India had a singular objective of breaking Pakistan into two pieces which was
achieved on 16 December 1971. Until recent admittance by Modi of providing
active support to Bangali Nationalists, successive Indian Governments have been
denying any role in creation of Bangladesh.
India has always been opposed to creation of Pakistan and its break up has only
half satisfied the appetite of fundamentalist Hindu leadership with the ultimate
aim of disintegrating rest of Pakistan. Indian consulates along Pak Afghan
border are active in abetting terrorism in Pakistan especially in KPK and
Balochistan. So much so that Indian Defence minister has now openly declared to
support terrorists and anti state elements in Pakistan. While Indian Interior
minister has warned Pakistan to take lesson from Indian action in Myanmar or get
ready for Hot Pursuit Operations by Indian Army inside Pakistani territory. In
fact present Indian political leadership is under pressure on domestic front
because of three major reasons; growing pro Pakistan sentiment in Indian
Occupied Kashmir, CPEC and Pakistani ingress in Afghanistan despite Indian
manoeuvre and wants to divert the attention by arousing anti Pakistan rhetoric.
This is a wakeup call for the supporters of Aman Ki Asha at the cost of Kashmir
Issue. India has already waged Water War on Pakistan by violating the Indus
Water Treaty and wants to turn Pakistan into desert. Simultaneously, with each
passing year India is substantially increasing her defence budget to achieve the
status of regional and global power and the only hindrance in achieving her goal
is Pakistan. India has also been endeavouring to malign Pakistan of Nuclear
Proliferation and creating doubts among the International community about safety
and security of her nuclear assets.
It is about time that we come out of the illusion of developing friendship with
India. Advisor on Foreign Affairs and Military Leadership have rightly responded
to the Indian rhetoric and confession by Mr Modi of active Indian involvement in
breakup of Pakistan. International community should also take notice of Indian
admission of interfering in the internal affairs of neighbouring countries. All
elements of national power will have to work in unison to defend against the
looming threat to our sovereignty; rather to our identity and very existence.
Fusion of all intelligence agencies to forestall and avert the attacks of RAW
and associated agencies is need of the hour. Simultaneously, our defence budget
needs to be sufficiently enhanced to counter the growing disparity in the
conventional domain alongside achieving second strike capability to afford
credibility to the nuclear deterrence.
It needs no emphasis to guard against the psychological and cultural threat by
banning Indian channels on cable networks propagating against Pakistan and Two
Nations Theory. There is also a need to convey to India in loud and clear terms
that Pakistan wants peace in the region and wants to resolve all outstanding
issues through negotiations. But let it be very clear that Pakistan is not
Myanmar and can't be coerced to agree to Indian terms. United under the umbrella
of Ideology of Pakistan we will defeat the nefarious designs of our declared
enemy.
