Birds Are Necessery For The Tree

(Aamir Mehmood, Lahore)

Every developing country has one or two major sectors from where he can earn foreign exchange, for Pakistan main sector which contributes to export is agriculture. Every government tried to boost up this sector with its own policies and for my readers we have three 3 green revolution programmes by three governments, without going into details of these programmes the bottom line is that these had not been implemented according to their souls.

In an economic theory from underdevelopment to development there are 3 phases in first phase you have to develop infrastructure, in second phase you have to develop agriculture sector, and in third phase you have to enter into establishing your industries. If we look into the history of Pakistan we are confused among these three phases.

At one end we are developing our agriculture sector and doing water reforms act and at the other end we are bearing heavy imports and expending heavy foreign exchange to prove to the worlds that we are developing nation in the result we have lost our major industries like textile and others. So both ends are not working according to the desires, we should have our main focus on one end to get the goal.

Now there is a key point for the economic progress, there is a saying of a economist that foreign investors are like birds they start sitting on the tree very slowly if you will make noise they will flow away.

But as we see our politicians are making noise in these days for there personal gains we can invite these sparrows like investors to invest in our countries until there is a political stability. So root cause of the economic decline is our unstable political scene.
