Baloch leaders collaborate with Iran-Afghan intelligence?

Pakistan’s diplomacy faces the
biggest challenge of its history as its relationship with Iran has to be
corrected by all means, otherwise a dangerous Indo-Iran-Afghan nexus is likely
to emerge that not only can isolate Pakistan further, but also pose a regional
security threat. A local newspaper quotes a security establishment report that
reveals the Afghan-Iran-Baloch nexus under which PkMAP collaborates with Iran’s
intelligence and gets dollars from certain power groups in Afghanistan. NDS
individuals assist Baloch nationalists to advance Tehran’s political operations.
The report titled “Aid by Iran to PkMAP Leadership” says Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami
Party chief Mahmud Khan Achakzai received $1 million from a Helmand province
resident, Ramzan Noorzai, who happens to be key operative of Iranian
intelligence and operates on the Pak-Afghan border linking Balochistan. A
Colonel, Sardar Dahaqan, of Iran’s premier agency acts from Zahidan as Noorzai’s
handler. Iran’s intelligence coordinates through PkMAP leadership for secret
visits of Northern Alliance members to Iran via Balochistan and vice versa.
Already there have been reports of Chhota Rajan gang’s presence in Zahidan that
works for RAW to fuel insurgency in Balochistan. Mullah Akhtar Mansour who was
killed in drone attack had entered Pakistan from Iranian side. The Iranian
president during his visit to Islamabad was requested to check Indian operations
from Zahidan, which Tehran denied. However, NSA Janjua later paid a visit to
Tehran but the relationship needs to be restored back to brotherly friendship
levels. This is a test case for Pakistan’s diplomacy experts. Islamabad cannot
afford souring of ties with Iran because of its historical linkages.
