Never mind, if the whole nation
is crying with one voice for a very simple and pragmatic solution of the present
predicament—FATA situation, judiciary, A Q Khan, Price hike. They, our new
masters, will do their business the way they like, taking no any risk of any
danger to their continued control over the treasury of the state.
After the Feb. 18 elections, discerning no any change, now the big question mark
before the nation is whether this nation of pure deserve to be bestowed with the
fruits of democracy or rule of law or they are to be kept under the feudal
system whose threads should be pulled from a remote area and if it loosen then
those who pulled them should be invited to clean the mess for us.
The yesterday statement of the feudal lord, Gilani, about the presence of
foreigners in the tribal area and a possible attack like the 9/11, is a clear
testimony to that.
We cannot agree with Qazi Hussain Ahmad when he says that our feudal lords are
themselves providing an opportunity for the US to attack the tribal areas by
tackling the issue the way as it is. But with every passing day, and with the
procrastination of any tangible strategy for the tribal built, tells something
else.
All these are the fruits of one man policy for making our motherland as a front
line state for the Yankees. For the last eight years the tribal built has
engulfed about one thousands precious assets of our army personnel plus civilian
casualties of uncountable numbers, and no any improvement has been brought in
the situation and fake Taliban are active in their anti-state activities, still
our new rulers pledge to continue that policy.
Once again decisions are being made out side the parliament. When the elections
result were coming, our opinion was changing about those who were constantly
arguing that no any change would come in the policy of the state though the
election drama on Feb.18 would be staged with much pomp and show. We had
completely ignored these elements after the elections result with the huge
mandate of PPP and PML-N. But we were wrong. We apologized to APDM for
ridiculing them for that assertion of theirs.
No any change except the change of the venue of decision making. Instead of GHQ,
Zardari house in Islamabad and Dubai has become the centers of our destiny. Like
the previous era a rubber stamp parliament is present and no part in molding our
destiny. Otherwise a very simple solution can be sought out for all the worries.
Debate all the issues in the parliament one by one, and after much debate make a
policy in the light of all that. Believe me, if the parliament, with majority
vote, decides to term the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as Pakistania, a 51st
state of the USA, it will be acceptable to us. But Pakistania should be debated
in the parliament thoroughly.
But why such debate will ever be conducted when the Yankees knows for certain
what will come out of all this. All these NROs, showers of praises on the axis
of evil, PCO judiciary and add the pre-mature end of Lawyers’ Long March are
just to stop this grand debate. In this debate lies the simple solution of our
ills. But who on earth will do this--the coterie of the washed man of NRO or the
henchmen of the bald Nawaz Sharif or those champions of Pakhtuns who are busy in
bestowing their supporters with flour quotas. Who will do this, who??
