Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to Represent Pakistan in Harvard Business School’s BEMS Program

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, and teammate Mohammad Rizwan have enrolled in Harvard Business School’s exclusive executive education program, “The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports” (BEMS). These cricketers’ participation in the program showcases their dedication to improving their business skills and engaging with global communities. After the program ends, Azam and Rizwan will engage with different communities in the United States until June 13.

Babar Azam, the top-ranked ODI batter, is eager to join the prestigious program at Harvard. He aims to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow, and contribute globally. Azam recognizes valuable learning opportunities with exceptional athletes and industry leaders from entertainment, media, and sports worldwide.

Mohammad Rizwan, the wicket-keeper batter, is thrilled about the prestigious learning opportunity. He feels honored to represent Pakistan globally and is eager to learn from top faculty and program fellows at the BEMS program. Rizwan also aims to share their journey and insights to foster growth in the cricket world.

Talha Rehmani, CEO of Saya Corporation, a sports talent management company, will join the cricketers in the program. Professor Anita Elberse, a young tenured professor at Harvard Business School, will chair the program.

Professor Elberse expressed her delight in welcoming Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to Harvard Business School and the BEMS program. She believes that the participants will greatly benefit from the experiences of these world-class athletes who possess a keen interest in the business world.
