Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gandapur stressed his readiness to implement the movement based on Khan’s directives, adding that it would be carried out as soon as the orders were given.
Gandapur also expressed frustration over his recent inability to meet Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated. He revealed that when he attempted to meet the PTI leader at Adiala Jail, he was denied access."I was told that I was not allowed to meet," he said, highlighting the restrictions placed on him despite his position as the representative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa."I am a representative of the entire province, and I do not need clearance from anyone. Do those who are using high-handed tactics have clearance?" he questioned, referring to the authorities responsible for barring his meeting with Khan.KP CM also made it clear that the civil disobedience movement would only be triggered by Khan’s decision, reiterating that he would act in accordance with the instructions from the PTI founder. "The decision Imran Khan will take regarding the civil disobedience movement will be implemented," Gandapur added.Earlier, Gandapur's appearance at the Peshawar High Court was marked by a legal development as the court extended his protective bail until January 16.The extension followed the submission of a report by the federal government, detailing the numerous cases filed against him. According to the report, 32 cases have been registered against Gandapur in Islamabad, and 33 in Punjab. The court issued an order preventing Gandapur’s arrest in any of these cases until the specified date. The protective bail also applies to PTI leader Shibli Faraz, with the court granting him similar protection until January 16.Both Gandapur and Faraz are facing significant legal challenges, with the federal government providing additional reports on the cases lodged against them. The Peshawar High Court has directed the chief minister to appear before the relevant courts in connection with the ongoing cases.
