PCB Officially Appoints Saqlain Mushtaq as Head Coach

PCB or Pakistan Cricket Board has officially appointed Saqlain Mushtaq as the interim head coach for T20 World Cup 2021. However, Shahid Aslam is appointed as the assistant coach for the national team. As per PCB, both appointments are for the upcoming mega ICC event.

The former Australian opener Matthew Hayden is already appointed as the batting consultant. However, Vernon Philander, the South African legend, is appointed as the bowling consultant.

Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2021 squad is present in Lahore and Philander has already joined them.  However, Matthew Hayden will join the Pakistan Cricket team in the United Arab Emirates.

The team will begin the training session at NHPC or National High Performance Centre from Sunday (tomorrow). Besides that, the Pakistan Cricket Board also made changes to the Pakistan T20 World Cup 2021 squad. Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, and Sarfaraz Ahmed are included in the squad. They have replaced the trio of Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Azam Khan.
