Shoaib Akhtar thanks 'Mighty' India, here’s why?

Lahore: India is currently at the centre of bashing by former cricket legends and general public after their embarrassing defeat in the first Test match against Australia. Australian bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood played a magnificent innings in the first session of day three dismissing India for just 36, their lowest ever Test score. Both Cummins and Hazlewood picked up 5-8 and 4-21 respectively.

Former Pakistan pacer in a YouTube video took a jibe at the performance of the Mighty Indians.

“When I got up and saw the score 369 and thought that we have a good match to watch. Then I washed my eyes and saw the score 36/9. I could not believe it!” said Akhtar.

He recalled that when Pakistan was rolled out on 53 and 59, Australia had tough players like Shane Warne and Bret Lee.

He added that Australia lacks that quality. “But thank you India for breaking our record. At least you helped us somewhere,” he said.

The former pacer also drew a comparison between the cricket of his era and today, saying the game is now easier.

Reactions and memes emerge on twitter as India crumbled to their lowest ever score in Test history.
