The Edhi center is a non-profit social welfare program in Pakistan, founded by Abdul Sattar Edhi in 1951. Edhi is the head of the organization and his wife Bilquis, a nurse, oversees the maternity and adoption services of the center. Its headquarters are in Karachi, Pakistan. The Edhi center provides the old homes for the people who are old, alone and have no family member left behind to take care of them. Edhi also privides home for the people who have lost their houses or missing.
