Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme 2026

The Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme 2026 is a financial assistance program launched by the Government of West Bengal under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It was announced in the state budget for 2026-27 and formally notified on 13 February 2026 (Notification No. 102/YS). Payments started from 1 April 2026.

The scheme gives unemployed youth a fixed monthly allowance of ₹1,500. It is paid directly into their bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The scheme aims to help young people manage basic expenses (books, exam fees, travel, etc.) while they look for a job or prepare for competitive exams.

Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme Online Apply Process

The Phase 1 Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme online apply window closed on 26 February 2026. The government may open a fresh application window. Check yubasathi.wb.gov.in or apas.wb.gov.in for the latest updates. Below is how the online application process works, for when the portal reopens:

Online Application Steps

• Visit the official Banglar Yuva Sathi portal: yubasathi.wb.gov.in or apas.wb.gov.in
• Click on "Apply Online" or "Register"
• Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP sent to your phone
• Create a password and complete registration — your application ID will be generated
• Log in to your dashboard and open the application form.
• Fill in your personal and educational details
• Enter your Aadhaar-linked bank account number and IFSC code
• Upload scanned copies of all required documents (see list below)
• Review all entries carefully and click "Submit"
• Save the Application ID that appears on screen. You will also receive it by SMS.

Note: The online portal was available only between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM during the Phase 1 window (due to high server load during the day).

Offline Application — Duare Sarkar / Camp Mode

During Phase 1 (15 to 26 February 2026), camps were set up in all 294 assembly constituencies across 23 districts of West Bengal. At each camp:

• Government officials provided the Banglar Yuva Sathi application form free of charge
• Applicants filled in the form
• Original documents were verified on the spot and returned immediately
• An acknowledgement slip with a unique application ID was given to each applicant

Future offline camps may also be organized at BDO (Block Development Officer), SDO (Sub-Divisional Officer), and municipality offices. Watch the official portal for announcements.

To do a Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme status check after submitting your form, follow these steps:

• Go to yubasathi.wb.gov.in or apas.wb.gov.in
• Click on "View Beneficiary Status" or "Track Your Application"
• Enter your registered mobile number or application reference ID
• Complete OTP verification if prompted
• Your current application status will appear on screen

When completing the Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme form fill up, keep these points in mind:

• Write your full name exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar card
• Enter your date of birth accurately.
• Enter your Madhyamik Roll Number and Board Name correctly
• Give the IFSC code and account number of a savings account that is in your individual name and linked to Aadhaar
• Do NOT submit the form twice
• The form is free — do not pay anyone to fill it out on your behalf

Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scheme, you must meet all of the following Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme eligibility criteria:

• Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
• Age must be between 21 and 40 years
• Must have passed Madhyamik (Class 10) or an equivalent examination
• Must be unemployed
• Must have an active bank account in your own name, linked to Aadhaar
• Must NOT already be receiving financial benefits from any other government social security scheme (e.g., Yuvashree / Jubo Utsaho Prakalpa). Students receiving scholarships or educational grants may still apply.

• Bank Passbook (first page) —must be an individual account
• Aadhaar-bank linkage proof — (get this from your bank or NPCI)
• Proof of West Bengal residency (Ration Card or Domicile Certificate)
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC applicants (if applicable)
• Recent passport-size photograph

What Happens After Application?

After submission, the government cross-checks your data with existing scheme databases to confirm that you are genuinely eligible and not receiving duplicate benefits. If your application is verified and approved:

• ₹1,500 is transferred to your Aadhaar-linked bank account every month via the Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS)
• You will receive an SMS notification every time a payment is processed
• If you get a job, you must inform the department so your assistance can be stopped appropriately
• The benefit continues for a maximum of 5 years or until you find employment
