Maryam Nawaz Mobile Police Launch

Maryam Nawaz mobile police services bring police assistance and driving license facilities to residents across Punjab through mobile station vans. On September 30, 2026, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif formally inaugurated 33 mobile police stations offering 14 types of police-related services. The Maryam Nawaz mobile police launch took place in Lahore. She inspected a van, spoke with the staff and reviewed how residents would receive services. Home Secretary Ahmad Javed Qazi briefed her on staffing, services and deployment. The project had an earlier inauguration on October 21, 2025, when Maryam Nawaz launched the Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit Project in Lahore. She handed over vehicle keys to the officers concerned during the ceremony. Residents use the vans to submit First Information Report (FIR) applications, report lost documents, and access verification services. The programme aims to reduce travel time and expenses, especially for people living in remote areas.

Maryam Nawaz’s 33 mobile police stations include six Pink Mobile Police Stations dedicated to women-related matters. Female staff assist with sensitive cases involving harassment, violence and abuse against women and children. The vans will visit universities and girls’ colleges according to a schedule. Police will also use information from Emergency Helpline 15 calls to decide where to deploy the units. Authorities will announce arrival schedules through social media and other communication channels. Local mosque announcements will inform residents before a van arrives. Check the announced route and time for your area before visiting.

Services also cover criminal record checks, tenant registration, domestic and shop employee registration, police verification and character certificate verification. Driving license facilities include learner and regular licenses, renewals, duplicate licenses and international licenses. Residents submitting an FIR application receive an online e-tag. FIR registration follows the instructions for Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS).
