The Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana is a monthly financial assistance scheme. It is launched by the Government of Punjab for eligible women across the state. It is also known as the Punjab ₹1,000 Scheme or the Bhagwant Mann ₹1,000 Scheme. The Department of Social Security & Women and Child Development, Punjab, manages it.

The scheme was announced on 8 March 2026 (International Women's Day) during the Punjab Budget 2026-27. The official notification was released on 2 April 2026. The registration process was officially launched on 14 April 2026 by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

First payments were released on 1 July 2026. The initial payment covered three months (April to June 2026 arrears) in a single transfer. General category/OBC women received ₹3,000. Scheduled Caste women received ₹4,500 as their first installment.

Who Is Eligible?

You can register for this scheme if you meet all of these conditions:

  • You are a woman aged 18 years or above
  • You are a registered voter in Punjab
  • Your Aadhaar card shows a Punjab address
  • There is no income limit. Even housewives with no income source are eligible.

  • Employees eligible for a pension from a PSU, statutory board, corporation, or cooperative institution
