Ingredients
  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  3. 1 tsp baking soda
  4. 1/4 tsp salt
  5. 1/2 cup butter
  6. 1 cup sugar
  7. 3 eggs
  8. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  9. 1 tsp almond essence
  10. 1 cup almonds, roasted and chopped
  11. 3/4 cup chocolate chunks
Method
  • Pre-heat oven to 350degrees farenheight(180degrres celcius)
  • Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. In a seperate bowl mix cream eggs and sugar, add eggs, vanilla and almond essence. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, and mix for a couple of minutes. Add almond and chocolate.
  • On sprinkled flour counter top, roll mix into two roll logs in the same length of cook tray.
  • Place rolls in cookie tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in over for 25 minutes. Remove for oven, place on cutting board tp cool for 10 minutes.
  • Cut into half inch widith biscuits and place back on tray to bake for additional 20 - 30 minutes. Flip biscuits half way to ensure that they are thought baked through.
  • Enjoy as a side with coffee.
