Ingredients
  1. Chicken1
    Curd1cup
    Lemon3
    Cooked cumin1tsp
     Black pepper1tsp
    Ginger garlic paste1tbsp
    Red chili1tbsp
    chargha masala3 tbsp
    Saltas required
    Rice ingredients
    Rice2-1/2 cup
    Oil1 cup
    Fresh milk1 cup
    Finely chopped onion 3
    Green chilies4
    garam masalapinch
    Yellow food colorpinch
    Mint½ bunches
    Salt to taste
Method
  • Soak 250gm gram lentils for 3 hours, drain and wash thrice in fresh water, put in a pan with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder and ½ tsp turmeric, cover and cook for 30 minutes, in another pan heat ½ cup ghee, fry 1 chopped onion till golden brown in color, now add 2 chopped tomatoes and fry till soft, then add 1 tsp garlic paste, ½ tsp crushed red pepper and pour on top of the daal, stir fry till oil comes on top, lastly put 2tbsp achar masala and garnish with 2 chopped green chilies and serve hot.

Cooking on Eid is truly hectic. Especially when you don’t know so many good dishes. I liked this Lahori Chargha Biryani recipe that looks easy to make and all the ingredients are available in market. I will do my grocery shopping soon and will make it on Eid. Thanks for sharing.
