Maple syrup

Maple syrup is a type sweetener, which is tapped and concentrated from the sap produced from the maple tree. This tree stores sugar in their roots in cold climates, which rises up during spring. Sucrose is the most prevalent sugar in maple syrup. During its processing, water portion from the collected maple syrup is evaporated and caramelization is carried out to alter the flavor to some extent.
