Mash Ki Daal Kay Dahi Baray Recipe (White Lentil Dhai Baray)

Ingredients
  1. White lentils 1 cup
  2. Salt ¼ tsp
  3. Baking soda 1 pinch
  4. Yogurt 2 cup (whisked)
  5. Fresh coriander 2 tbsp (chopped)
  6. White cumin 1 tsp (roasted and powder)
  7. Ginger ½ inch piece (chopped)
  8. Red chillies powder 2 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil for frying
  11. For Garnishing:
  12. Tamarind chutney 2tbsp
  13. freash coriander 2 tbsp
Method
  • • Wash lentils and soak overnight, drain water and grind.
  • • Add salt and baking soda, mix well and leave aside.
  • • Heat oil in a wok, take spoonfuls of mixture and fry dumplings till golden.
  • • Soak the fried dumplings in warm water for 10 minutes.
  • • Now lightly press the dumplings between your palms to squeeze out water and arrange them neatly in a serving dish.
  • • Add salt, red chillies, ginger, cumin and fresh coriander in yogurt, mix well and pour on baray.
  • • Garnish delicious dahi baray with tamarind chutney and fresh coriander and serve.
