Situations mislead to presumptions but time reveals the truth and conveys a lot about people. Those whom you believe to be profound, understanding and compassionate emerge shallow, thoughtless and egocentric. Those who seem to have same frame of mind and interests, happen to be poles apart. Those who appear respectful later turn out to be inconsiderate and insolently rude.
As soon you cognize your fallacy, step back. Do not try to convince yourself with fake logics to counter what your experience has let out.
