The Lustrous Love

Arham Shami is the youngest poet of Pakistan, who at the nine year age started composing poetry. He is a multilingual young poet. He plans to publish the book of his English poems titled “ The Lustrous Love”. He calls these ditties as “ Love’s Sacred Essence.” His poems reflect his deep study of various cultures, religions and world literature. He is precocious and voracious luminary whose heart throbs with the spirit of time.
His exquisite poetic diction gravitates the hearts and illuminates the minds. The core message of his poetry is spirituality, humanity, social justice, moderation and love. His faith is that Love is super, serene, sublime and superb. He is a harbinger and stalwart of Love. He can be called as “ The Poet of Love.” Most of the poems in this book depict different facts, facets and dimensions of love. At a place, he writes: “ love is of two kinds”. Love of Man and the Love of God. He believes in the dictum that love of man is the love of God, but at the same time, he believes that the love of God is a divine boon that is permanent and changes the inner vortex of humans. Actually, he wants to reject the fights and feuds in the name of religion and his belief is that the one who loves God, he loves the creature of God. Whether, we love God through the love of man, or love man through the love of God, the mission is the same. No love of God without the love of Man is his indomitable belief. We must abstain religious extremism and also refrain from racial discrimination. The differences of color, caste, creed and country must be uprooted. His universal and fraternal ideas bestir the inquisitive souls and invite all to the oneness of humans. Actually, Oneness of God means Oneness of mankind. His poetic diction is simple, metrical, mellifluous and captivating.
Besides, being an inspiring and insightful young poet, he is a motivational speaker. He is a young enlightened scholar as well. He has read different religions and ultimately, he chose spirituality and humanity as the beacons of light in the dark dungeons of scholastic pursuits. He is very much impressed by the universal message of Islam and by the poetry of Dr. Allama Iqbal. His approach towards religion is not dogmatic or retrogressive. He has an enlightened mindset and promotes the Quranic mission for the betterment of all humanity.
