China, Italy, Iran, Spain, and America continue
to be the most-affected countries by Coronavirus. According to
Worldo Meter, “1,152,979cases have been reported, 61,625people
died and recovered 240,117people so far around the world.”
Unexpectedly, players, and managers have not escaped the effects
of the outbreak.
Although, all sports events and major professional football
leagues have been postponed. European Championship 2020 has
officially postponed until June 2021. UEFA competition was
scheduled to take place from 12 June to 12 July 2020. Champions
League and Europa League have been postponed and No decision has
yet been made on rearranged dates.
The pandemic virus does not distinguish anyone, a vast majority
of footballers, meanwhile have been tested positive, many
players are in self-isolation for prevention measures and
recovering from the pandemic diseases. Serval players have been
instructed to spend the weekend at home to avoid the risk of the
pandemic.

Coronavirus and the season will start from April 30. Many
footballers are self-isolating as the news confirmed about
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta diagnosed as having COVID-19.
Chelsea midfielder Callum Hudsun-Odoi has also been diagnosed,
later he revealed on twitter he had recovered.

League One; Five Portsmouth players Ross McCrorie, James Bolton,
Andy Cannon, Haji Mnoga and Sean Raggett, have tested positive
for Coronavirus.
2. La Liga and Copa del Rey:
Spanish La Liga and Copa del Rey final have been suspended
indefinitely and many players have been confirmed the infection.
Spanish LaLiga club Deportivo Alav’s three players including 15
staff members tested positive.
Valencia announced that five Valencia players including
center-back Eliaquim Mangala tested positive and were
self-isolation. Deportivo Alav is not the only club to be
affected, with several players at Espanyol, Real Madrid and
Barcelona also hit by COVID-19 but Barcelona superstar Lionel
Messi is fine and staying at home, he does not have the virus.

Chinese international footballer Wu Lei is recovering as he
succumbed to this pandemic disease. Lei is the first player from
china to have contracted Coronavirus and the only Chinese player
who plays for Espanyol. Espanyol’s six members of the club staff
have tested positive but did not disclose the names who have
been infected.
Former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz died after contracting
the coronavirus. He had tested positive and had been
hospitalized in serious condition.
3. Serie A and Coppa Italia:
Italy is one of the most affect countries by Covid-19. Italian
football leagues Serie A and Coppa Italia have been postponed
indefinitely.
Seven Italian football club’s players contracted these diseases.
Juventus’s Blaise Matuidi,Daniele Rugani, and Dusan Vlahovic
have been infected and Juventus officials announced that 121
members of staff, including players, have contracted symptoms of
pandemic and spending their time in quarantine.
Juventus forwarder Cristiano Ronaldo posted a special message to
his infected teammate.

Sampdoria’s Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina and
Morten Thorsby and Manolo Gabbiadini and Fiorentina’s forward
Patric Curtrone, Defender German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic
have been confirmed as infected by Coronavirus.

Sampdoria club doctor Amedeo Baldari’s test was also positive
while the remaining players, additional staff and club
directors, have been stayed in self-isolation. Italian football
training grounds and offices have been shut in lockdown because
of the virus.
French league and Coupe de France final
French league and Coupe de France final matches were abandoned
indefinitely across France after Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian
Mbappe coronavirus testing but he had tested negative.

4. German Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal
The high-profile football competition The Bundesliga matches
suspended until April 2. However, Hannover defender Timo Hubers
has tested positive for coronavirus and two unnamed Frankfurt
players contracted this infection.
5. Chinese Super League:
Shandong Luneng Marouane Fellaini has been tested positive.
Everton midfielder has now in placed in quarantine within the
hospital.
