While people leave their homes to travel, this unique
couple did just the opposite. They took their whole house along to
travel! Their house is just 130 sq ft and holds the record of the most
travelled house in the world! The tiny but dream-of-a-house belongs to
Christian Parsons and Alexis Stephens, the couple who’s travelling
across the US in/with their home. Amazing right?

Believed to be the world's most travelled tiny house, the couple who
owns it has been to 37 states and 16 national parks in the US. Their
gorgeous house-on-wheels has wood furnishings, two lofts, a workspace,
and a shoe rack too.
The couple discovered their love for travel on a road trip to Lake
Michigan. It was then that they decided to find various alternative ways
to explore their country, and thus came the tiny house movement. They,
of course, started to document every step.
Stephens quit her marketing job and the two of them went back to their
filmmaking roots. They wanted to travel and needed a tiny house for the
same. To achieve their dream, the couple started building their home on
wheels. The work took around nine months to complete. Parsons, being a
freelancer, had the whole time to work on this house along with his
friends and families.

The couple spent nearly $15000 to build their home. However, adding
solar panels and flooring increased their cost to $20000. Their house
did not cost much, as the couple used only reclaimed and recycled
materials. Their kitchen countertop is made using a wide variety of
trees that fell in a tornado.
The best part of their tiny house is their spacious and beautifully
designed shoe rack, where almost 20 pairs of shoes can be stored easily.

The traveller couple says that their cost of living changes from
location to location and month to month. If they stay at one place for a
month or two, their monthly expenses are on the lower side but if they
travel a lot, their cost of living increases. Their monthly mortgage
amount is according to the cost of their travel.
