Social Issues of the Society - Pakistan

Countless social problems are prevailing in our society. These problems mainly exist all around the worlds where countries are trying to get control over the situation. When we talk about social issues of the community, Rape, gender discrimination, Bullying, Cyberbullying are one of the most common examples of that are in practice commonly, and I am too sad to say this. But the truth is that these prevail in our society. As Pakistani can witness, these social problems are being increased year on year, and many are not reported.

In this blog, we would try to talk about one of the common Social issues are Rape and try to create awareness among the females to avoid being in such situations.

Rape is a sort of sexual assault generally including sex or other types of sexual penetration that are carried out without a victim's permission. Anyone unable to consent to the act, such as a person who is asleep, unfit, has an intellectual impairment, or is not within the legal age of consent, is entitled to the act by physical force, coercion, abuse or otherwise.

People who have been raped may be shocked and develop a stress condition after trauma. Tension may be combined with the danger of pregnancy and illness that is sexually transmitted. The rapist and, in certain societies, the victim's relatives might suffer violence or threats. Survivors might encounter complicated feelings and traumatic situations. Each survivor reacts in their own manner to horrific conditions. The trauma might have acute or long-term impacts following the sexual attack or violation.

Depression, comprising extended sadness, hopelessness, unexplained sobbing, loss or rise in weight, loss of energy and interest in former activities. Victims also have suicidal thoughts or efforts to prevent the victims from harming themselves again. A survivor may have a negative perspective and feel ''broken'' or insignificant from a better life. Alcohol or drug misuse might sometimes become a problem to deal with the overpowering sensations. Women also suffer menstrual cycle difficulties and infertility.

Rape or sexual abuse victims come from various sexes, ages, sexual orientations, ethnic groups, geographical sites, cultures and handicap degrees. The incidences of Rape are grouped into several categories and explain the perpetrator's perpetrator's relationship with the victim and the sexual assault scenario. These include Rape, gang rape, marital Rape, incest rape, sexual abuse of children, Rape of the prisoners, Rape of acquaintance, Rape of war and legal Rape.

Pakistan is the world's third most unsafe country for females, according to a 2011 survey by Thomson Reuters Foundation'sFoundation's experts. It mentioned around 1,000 women, and girls killed every year in ""honour killings"" and asserted that 90 per cent of Pakistani women are victims of domestic abuse. A brutal irony for women in Pakistan is that if a woman talks about physical or sexual abuse, she and her family have lost their dignity. As a result, many rapes are unreported as the victims worry that it will be meaningless in Pakistani society.

Rehana, aged 37, lives in Pakistan and narrates her story of the sexual assault she experienced. ""My life is no different from any other poverty-stricken lady in Pakistan. It is my final hope that I strive to educate my children. The only difference in my tale is I might have had it if there was no incident in my life. I grew up in a house where my parents barely earned enough to sustain our 14-year-old family. As my mother worked in homes, my father made pharmaceutical boxes. We have learnt very little to survive. I was committed to Nasir when I was approximately 14. The finest period of my life was to be with him. she's been a kind and good man.""

She further adds,"" A terrible night before I was married, then, about 3 a.m., a few young men snuck in our house. They tied and beat my parents. I've been sleeping in the next room with my two sisters. They picked me up and tied me up on my legs while I was a senior. I knew they wanted me to violate. If something happened to me, I said I would lose everything. I picked up a knife and warned them if they persisted, I would murder myself. They agreed, finally, to let me leave. But the harm was already done; I've been saved. I was deemed ""used,"" no longer worthy of him when Nasir and his family learned the news.""

She tells about her marriage ""I married my spouse Fakhir when I was 15. His mother requested my married hand since there was nobody in his household to cook. For their comfort, I married. I'm the second wife of Fakhir. We struggle all the time for money. My time is gone. Now I earn simply for my kids and our household. He won'twon't allow me to leave my house, and he'll beat aeon payday if I don'tdon't give my husband my salary. But I keep the fees and rent privately since I don't trust what he would do with them. I'm the main breadwinner. Two months have passed since my marriage, domestic violence has not ended 14 years later.""

As sexual violence affects every section of society, there is a comprehensive response to sexual violence. The answers can be divided into single approaches, responses to health care, community-based efforts and measures to prevent other forms of sexual violence. Secondary school, college and training programmes may avoid sexual assault. At least one fraternity men programme has created "sustainable improvement in behaviour."

I would like to conclude that we as a society need to make sure that we evolve with time and ensure that our community's women are safe and secure. Not only this, but laws should be imposed to give a death sentence for all accused caught in such an attempt to help decline such brutal acts of violence.
