Pakistani Comedy Media

(Salman shaikh , karachi)

In Pakistan, media is working freely and independently but with awful and politic oriented talks shows I thinks comedy dramas are way out for actual entertainment.

In glorious age of PTV one cannot find such a classic Comedy Plays like Roze,Ankahi,Angan terha,Dhop kinare.………… I deliberately want to discuss this topic being a students. I still remember in the fade memory of old Pakistani dramas, when I used to be a kid.

Some of old comedy dramas were based on classic Hasina moins storyline.

So today’s comedy dramas are not like the old hilarious drama…. But still I think at least they are giving some good contribution in Pakistani drama`s jerky industry Lets start from sitcom of Ayegi barat. A new life has been brought to Pakistani television when Geo Network aired the drama ‘Azar ke aeygi Baraat’ followed by ‘Dolly ke Aeygi Baraat’ and now,’ Takay ke Aeygi Baraat’. These are one of the most hit Pakistani comedy plays and the dialogues of different characters are almost on lips of every Pakistani in particular

Indeed, Pakistani comedy plays truly depict the essence of the talents that the people of Pakistan have. May it be the Late Moin Akhtar, Hamid Rana, Rafi Khaawar, Bushra Ansari, Salman Shahid, Sohail Ahmed or Adeel Hashmi, Faisal Qureshi, Hina Dilpazeer of today and many others, the class and perfection that Pakistani comedy plays have brought out is surely something commendable and it is even more commendable to witness that Pakistani television continues to make its mark by coming up with better and great quality work.
