Recently I got an opportunity
to travel by train in AC sleeper class. I traveled in 8 down Tez gam and found
the journey very comfortable.During the entire journey train was before time on
all the stops and reached destination in time.....Generally all standers of a
good train service were maintained....I will be too miser if i do not appreciate
the good efforts of our Rail ways MINISTER....In deed good job done by the Rail
ways MINISTER.......Reason he is dedicated and do not have the interest to
promote his road transport service.....
Running good passenger train in a good public service...also it increases the
vote bank of the ruling party....dark side is that it is not much revenue
paying..so per force cost of ticket is to be increased which is not liked by the
people.On the other hand goods trains are less cost effective and are more
revenue paying.... Interest of railways lies in running more efficient goods
trains service than passenger trains....So goods trains can also help in
reducing the cost of the traveling ticket....This goes in the interest of the
Railways....
I suggest following to the railways minister for improvement in the railways
service...
1...Buy min 100 locomotives......50 for passenger trains and 50 for goods
trains..
2...Increase the number of trains both goods and passenger.Give priority to the
goods trains and provide efficient goods transport service..
3... Passenger bogies require lot of repair work which should be under taken on
priority. Specially the bath rooms of economy class.AC sleeper class bath room
should also have shower facility for taking bath as it use to be in the past.
4...All goods train bogies ,C wagons,bkf and others should also be repaired.C
wagons should be made water tight so that rain should not spoil the stuff in
side the wagons.
5...Under gauge racks should not be allowed to use...it may cause accident.
6...Fire fighting equipment/sufficient first aid should also be made available
in side the train.
7...Dining cars should be used for dining purpose only...AC for AC class and
other for other class.Police and Railways staff should have proper place for
rest other than passenger compartments and dining cars.
8...Inter net and mobile charging facility should be made available in each
compartment .
9...On each technical stop(15/20 min) entire train should be sweeped,bathrooms
washed with chemicals and over head tanks to be filled with fresh water.
Electrical problems should also be looked after.
10...TXR staff,locomotive in reserve and other equipment required to be placed
on suitable distances so that all emergencies are looked after without any delay
round the clock...
We have very good Rail ways and infra structure but running short of
locomotives,good conditioned wagons and efficient staff.With double railways
line from Karachi to Lahore we can run fast trains on this section and can
reduce the traveling time as well as the cost of railways ticket .
I hope railways minister will give some weight to my suggestions for
improvement.Once again i appreciate the good efforts of railways minister for
improving the static railways....
