14th August 1947 is
termed as the day of freedom for the people of Pakistan. On this day, the
prodigious leader Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah fulfilled his promise and
bestow the Muslims of United India with an Independent country, “PAKISTAN.”
Quaid-e-Azam finally accomplished his aspiration and gave them a separate
homeland.
After the death of the beloved and esteemed leader, numerous leaders
administered this holy land, including army bureaucrats. Unfortunately, we need
to acquiesce to this truth that it could become the most developed country.
However, Pakistan is not that tremendously exceptional in the previous 67 years,
which it ought to be. Pakistan was developing rapidly, but adversity has
clutched the success. Now, Pakistan is confronting diverse difficulties which
incorporate terrorism, lack of water, rampant corruption, load shedding,
unemployment, truncated education and etc. This is a concise background of
Pakistan’s history as an independent state. In this article, I am giving my
perception on the current 14th August.
According to some journalist, this 14th August will be the decisive moment of
Pakistan’s history. As, Imran Khan the chairperson of political party (Pakistan
Tehreek-e-Insaf) and a precedent renowned cricketer has proclaimed a convoke (Jalsa)
against the Election 2013 and named it as “AZADI MARCH.” He denounced the
corrupt system for rigging and decimating the electoral process. According to
him, on this day (14th August 2014) Pakistan will be emancipated from this
corrupt system and disloyal pioneers. He pledged to bring change from this Mafia
(corrupt) system.
A Little Background of Election 2013:-
General Elections of Pakistan were held on 11th May 2013 to elect the
members of the 14th National Assembly and to bring the new leadership for
unraveling the current challenges. Two political parties (PMLN and PTI) were in
favor to win this 11th general election.
Mian Nawaz Sharif’s party (PMLN) triumphed the Election 2013 with a clear
majority. In, general election, PPP (Pakistan People Party) won in Sindh, PMLN
in Punjab and Baluchistan, PTI in Khyber PakhtunKhwa and Nawaz Sharif elected as
the 18th prime minister of Pakistan. Just after the 11th May all the political
parties have begun roaring against the election. E-media and Social media they
both played an integral role in unveiling the rigging of Election 2013.
Moreover, people of Pakistan become consolidated at this point and came on the
boulevards for injustice.
All the political parties have acknowledged this rigged election due to crises
of the country. The second biggest party additionally has also accepted the
election. Though, they demand a complete audit of four national seats for
exposing the criminals who were involved in obliterating the roots of democracy.
According to the officials of PTI, they have experienced all the lawful
frameworks, but equity was disappeared.
Year after Election:-
Nawaz Sharif was facing different challenges and working for the development
of homeland. Anyhow, Imran Khan the leader of second biggest party was demanding
continuously an audit of four national seats, which were not acknowledged and
overlooked. As indicated by him and PTI administration, they have thumped all
the doors of justice but it was vanished. They mapped to gather people at D-Chowk
on 11th May 2014 for the protest against the rigging and after that Imran Khan
protested in different urban areas which include: Sialkot, Faislabad and
Bahwalpur, constantly pressurizing the government. When PTI witnessed, the
government is not sincere in inspecting the Election 2013 so they decided to
pronounce a long walk against the rigging on 14th August.
Freedom or Derailing of Democracy:-
Today the blazing domain in Pakistan is that:
“Will 14th August 2014 be the Day of Freedom OR Derailing of Democracy”.
Political pioneers of PMLN and some journalist are claiming that Imran Khan is
playing an essential role in ruining the Pakistan’s Democracy. On the other
hand, some are delighted by the stance of Imran Khan and ponders that he will
bring the freedom from this fraudulent system.
After the few days of Azadi March announcement, Mian Nawaz Sharif has smashed a
hard stroke of politics. He announces the celebration of an independence day to
sabotage Imran Khan’s assemble. Likewise, he has called the beloved Pakistan
army in Islamabad to incapacitate the Long March. The prime minister wants to
work for the sincerity and prosperity of the beloved country without any
intrusion. He thinks that the opposition party (PTI) is intruding in his work
and mission. So, he decided to crumple this “Long March” and as per sources,
PMLN has made a comprehensive strategy to stop this march. On the other hand,
PTI has made a complete plan of action to achieve their objectives and to make a
“NAYA PAKISTAN”. It seems like the both parties will be playing a “Win or Bust”
cricket match.
There is also a third force who can intervene in this Azadi March, the name of a
third force is Tahir ul-Qadri who is a prestigious Islamic scholar and chairman
of PAT (Pakistan AwamiTehreek). He had become well-known in politics, when he
predicted that Election 2013 would be rigged. In my recognition, Tahir-ul-Qadri
will play as a referee on the day of 14th August. Now, there are a few questions
regarding this Azadi March:
Will the 14th August be the day of freedom?
What role Tahir-ul-Qadri will play?
Will there be a clash between two biggest political parties?
What will be the plan of action of PTI?
What will be the demands of the second biggest party (According to votes)?
Will there be contempt of democracy on this day?
Could there be Marshall Law imposed?
Could there be midterm elections?
Nowadays, the rehashed expression of every Pakistani is: “What will happen on
14th August?” This has become one of the controversial topic and moreover, this
day has turned into the most anticipated day. Some columnist are claiming that
this will be the crucial moment for Pakistan’s history. May Allah protects our
dearest land, hoping this 14th August will be in support for amending Pakistan’s
future.
In last, I am synopsizing my article with a famous quotations about democracy
We can have democracy in this country or we can have great concentrated wealth
in the hands of a few, but we cannot have both.
“Democracy is moral before it is political.”
