Religious Madrissas Setup Handling
(Abdul Qayyum Rao, Sargodha )
IT has always been a difficult
task ;; to Reform and handle the Religious Madrissas and pointing the elements
who promote extremism, militancy and terrorism.
Three months have been passed, the issuance of the National Action Plan, Federal
government and Provincial Governments have not decided yet ; which ministry
should take and deal with the religious Madrissas networks.
Ministry of Religious Affairs (The best suitable), ‘must take over’ the whole
system of all Madrissas and Mosques,, must check and revise the syllabus /
curricula and way of teaching there. Specially it must be sorted out that how
students of one madrissa declare others as “ Kafirs” (non-Muslims) after five to
ten years of teaching in these (so-called) Madrissas .
Where is Government writ ??????????
Ministry of Interior, for maintaining law and order and can help identifying
extremist and militancy-supporting Madrissas on security basis. Ministry of
Finance may audit and supervise financial transactions from or out of country.
Why so many Pakistanis Madrissas are funded by foreigners without the government
Knowledge ? How these money is utilized ??
It is not duty of DCO or DPO to check all aspects of Madrissas continuously ,
they have other administrative and security duties to perform .
Unless syllabus / curricula reform, capturing militants and monitoring financial
flows are continuously monitored the relevant ministries, some of the madrissa
network will continue to be a threat to the country’s security.
Now state has to perform its duties and show the state writ,, must take action
against the nurseries of hate, intolerance and religious extremism in the
country.
Pak army is performing its duties (Zab-e- Azb and other operations) diligently
and efficiently in favour of state.
