Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi seems to have revived the spirit of
Pakistan Ideology, based on the Two-Nation Theory, not only amongst the people
in the independent Pakistan, but also amongst the Muslims living under
discrimination across India, thanks to his anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan tilts
in the fanatic Indian politics.
This also leads to believe that Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad
Ali Jinnah and other leaders were not wrong when they as Muslim leader faced
discrimination by the Hindu dominated All India Congress and then compelled to
form the All Muslim League to struggle for their separate identity.
This also makes us believe that we in Pakistan are far better than our Muslim
brethren living under the subjugation of so called secular India where, now, the
Indians have under a well thought out policy denied the right of elevation,
getting higher education, executive jobs, even they are not allowed to expand
their business to become rich.
Indian Prime Minister Modi has announced to offer India’s permanent citizenship
to the Hindus living in Pakistan, Afghanistan and other regional countries, to
show to the world that his country safeguards the interests of only Hindus. The
same way he has proved that Muslims or other communities are no safer in that
country. In other words, it means Pakistan should, in his reciprocation, offer
Muslims of India the citizenship. In fact this scenario is worse than 1947.
The foundation of Islamic state in the subcontinent was laid on the day when
Muhammad Bin Qasim landed on the shores around Karachi in 711 AD. But despite
prolonged period of successive Muslim rule, the subcontinent retained its Hindu
identity which was a clear evidence of religious freedom during the Muslim era.
With the fall of Mughal Empire, the Hindus cleverly collaborated with the
British masters and pursued the policy of keeping Muslims under privileged in
all walks of life.
Correctly visualizing the intent of Hindus, Allama Iqbal presented the idea of a
separate homeland for Muslims of India during his historic Allahabad Convention
in 1930. The idea was translated into Pakistan Resolution on 23rd March 1940 in
Lahore. Under the charismatic leadership of Jinnah, Pakistan emerged on the
political map of the world on 27th of Ramadan, August 14, 1947, consequence of
Nazria-e-Pakistan.
The ideology is the raison detre for the creation of Pakistan and any deviation
or departure from it will render the very idea of creating a separate homeland
for the Muslims of India null and void. The Modi doctrine now confirms that the
ideology of Pakistan is undoubtedly a binding force and centre of gravity for
making and safeguarding this country. Jinnah and Liaquat were very conscious of
implementing it. Therefore, the Objective Resolution was adopted to provide the
basis and set direction for future legislation. Due to untimely death of
Quaid-i-Azam and Quaid-i-Millat, the Objective Resolution could not be
translated into reality.
The Quaid in a radio message addressed to the people of the United States,
saying: “The Constitution of Pakistan is yet to be framed by the Pakistan
Constituent Assembly. I do not know what the ultimate shape of this constitution
is going to be, but I am sure that it will be of a democratic type, embodying
the essential principles of Islam. Today, they are as applicable in actual life
as they were 1300 years ago. Islam and its idealism have taught us democracy.”
(February 1948) Modi-like people in India have always been attempting to prove
the Ideology of Pakistan as wrong.
From annexation of Jammu & Kashmir, Hyderabad, Junagarh and other Muslim
majority states to separation of East Pakistan to fueling insurgency in
Balochistan (as they publicly claim) to occupation of Siachen Glacier to
creating disturbance in Karachi to funding pro Indian lobby to oppose
construction of Kalabagh Dam to violating Indus Water Treaty and creating or
supporting terrorism in Pakistan are just a few glimpses of the Indian design to
defeat Nazria-e-Pakistan.
RAW in collaboration with hostile intelligence agencies is sparing no efforts to
defame and destabilize Pakistan; brutal incidents of 16/12, Yohanabad, Safoora,
Chorungi and Mastung are few recent cases in point. Going beyond proxy war
Indian ministers have now openly declared to support terrorism in Pakistan. With
ever increasing defense budget and resultant growing disparity in the
conventional arms, India wants to coerce Pakistan and make it a pliant state
thus clearing the way for establishment of “Akhand Baharat”. On the home front,
there are forces which have continuously been propagating against
Nazria-e-Pakistan.
They temper with the speeches and writings to prove that the Quaid wanted
Pakistan to be a secular state. They have gradually succeeded in removing
Nazria-e-Pakistan from the syllabus replacing it with so called modern topics.
These pseudo intellectuals fuel provincialism and want to create divisions on
linguistic lines.
They propagate “Amn ki Asha” to grant the status of Most Favourite Nation to
India while putting aside the core issue of Kashmir. They feel pride in
highlighting similarity of culture with India and see International Boundary
between India and Pakistan as an artificial divide thereby proving ideology and
creation of Pakistan as a historic mistake. There is a need more than ever
before to revitalize Nazria-e-Pakistan as an important national objective;
perhaps we need to change our orientation. We will have to nurture the
un-attended plant of Nazria-e-Pakistan to a shady tree and make it the binding
force. Intellectuals, writers, teachers, parents, political workers and media in
the lead role will all have to play their part in reviving the spirit of
Nazria-e-Pakistan to defeat the nefarious designs of our cunning enemy.
Collectively, we will have to defeat terrorism, religious extremism,
provincialism, racism, secularism, extortion, money laundering, corruption and
contribute towards building a Pakistan which is true reflection of
Nazria-e-Pakistan and practical manifestation of Objective Resolution, where, as
per interpretation of Quran, submission is only before Allah, obedience to the
Prophet (pbhm) and service to humanity, whereas all citizens have equal rights,
equal opportunities, where there is rule of law, where justice is visible and
where all can practise faith without fear and prejudice. It is our obligation
not only to preserve the Nazria but to transfer its true spirit to the next
generation as a sacred heritage. This is the only answer to Modi and other
fanaticists. (ENDS)
