Things have changed dramatically over the past 100 years. Hajj in the past was difficult. Getting to Makkah for many was the hardest and the toughest part; performing Hajj itself wasn’t as the crowds were not as huge and performing tawaf was easier. Here are are a few stunning images of Hajj from the early and mid-1900s:
