Current challenges of Baluchistan

(noor-un-nisa Achakzai, quetta)

The capital city of Baluchistan called “Little London” in retrospective times, tells its tragic story through the bloody words of dust and bleak situation. Quetta the biggest city of pathetic province is now defined as in the bloody terms of Terrorism, target killing, kidnapping, kidnapping for ransome,Anarchism,Mismanagement,Rampant corruption, extremism,Nepotism, deplorable education, crippling loadshadding, unstable economy, poor political insight, disunity, lack of professionalism, insecurity, poor policy makers in fact no thing is in its proper way and order. The federal government announces different schemes and funds for the said province but the situation of the city is the same. Because these funds are not fully utilized. The roads, the electricity, the security, the deplorable education, the Baluchistan package, health problem etc. everything is in the same order. The former president and the present chief of Sindh Asif Ali Zardari announced Aghazi-Haqooq-e-Baluchistan package for the pathetic province of Baluchistan to decrease the level of unemployment. Unfortunately, contract based and was promised to be permanent after four years. The masses were naïve so they accepted it.After the endeavored struggle of the GTA the orders became permanent but again hiccup is faced at present. Still some or few and may be many teachers are at home since one year as the orders are not issued yet. Unable to understand the twist, the teachers are at home so, who are teaching at school or the students only come to see the empty chairs/ places of their teachers. I don’t think so that education should be made comprehensible, authentic and developed with the absence of teachers. We are facing the disastrous shortage of Electricity. Crippling loads adding is the biggest and worse snag at present which added fuel to the already worsened situation. Moreover, the said stumbling blocks are damaging the industrial and agricultural sector. It is also proved as a great harm to educational institution, where students of different departments are doing research and some online courses. Additionally, everyone can’t afford or having access to the alternatives of electricity .Resultantly, the shutting of industries breeds unstable economy ,which will resultantly leads Pakistan to non- viable state. Furthermore, kidnaping for ran some and missing person is next set back which Baluchistan is facing at the present. In 2013 before retirement Chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad chuhdary gave his last warning but still the kith and kins of the missing person are on hunger strike. Moreover, the target killing drama is on its peak. The tragic scenes in episode vise are telecasted from different parts of Baluchistan. The proceeding predicament is dissension among us. We are not united. We are lacking uniformity and discipline. We are callous, vicious and unsympathetic. We don’t feel the pain of our fellow beings. Resultantly, we are still in the list of underdeveloped countries. Moreover, to settle down the issues we should have strengthen the education quota first, as with the education, the unemployment would decrease and the economy of the country would also be stable. Furthermore, promoting female education will also contribute in the economy. Not this but this as well, trained teachers should also be allocated and strict hard and fast rules should be poked for teachers. So, that literacy rate should be raised. Additionally, the issue of Baluchistan would be solved through table talks. All the parties should unite and give a solid solution to the problem. new dams and pseudo- projects should be started in order to calm down the said hurdle .security should be provided to citizens, so that they could do their investment here. Which will also high the economy rate. Ion-fisted, sagacious and trustworthy politicians and policy makers should be appointed to compose strong policies for the province.by compromising and untidiness we can win every battle of the life and the world. Because, it is the dire need of the time. We should not have to forget the philosophy of unity by Allama Muhammad Iqbal who used to say:
“ Fard-I qaim rabti milat say hay tanha kuch nahi
Mauj hay darya may aur bairoon-i- darya kuch nahi”
