Many writers and a few of the
Political Parties and silent majority of Pakistanis are worried about
"Privatization of P.I.A. and a few other Institutions. Let us expand our horizon
and see that under our capable leadership we have sold out many things, to name
a few: Efficiency - You visit any institution/office, it is not visible; Rizq -
i -Halal - Everybody is after money, not bothered about the legality of means or
the source of earning; Honesty - We are struggling hard to set new records of
dishonesty); Fairness - Nepotism, favoritism and speed money/bribery are rampant
and have shown their ill effects in all the fields of our lives; Human Rights -
In addition to Police, CTD and many other agencies keep hunting the poor masses
on one pretext or the other – only the rich and influential persons’ rights are
protected. The Law of diminishing returns is fully applicable every where in our
practical lives/traits. Fulfillment of Promises - To betray others and not to
care for the word of mouth, has become fashion of the day. This is more evident
with the politicians especially those in power. They make false promises only to
be-fool the masses and pass away the time. - We heard much about Self Respect
from our fore fathers but now we have changed its meanings. We, as a nation are
almost top of the list of “Under Debt Nations". Presently every Pakistani is
under debt to the tune of Rs 1,10, 000/- and with the recent loan approved for
Pakistan the this figure will go up.” Farsightedness - Except for the Father of
the Nation and one or two rulers, neither the leaders nor the led have ever
manifested this great quality. As a nation we failed to conceive its importance;
Unity, Faith and Discipline – The echo of the golden motto is rarely heard in
any of the offices, forums, programs, speeches and messages of the Government
functionaries. However, we lack practical manifestation of these golden words.
The government efforts, through her functionaries, Media and NGOs are in top
gear to erode the Two Nation Theory, It is being replaced by “The Liberal,
Democratic and Progressive Pakistan” Those in power are trying their best to
have good relations with Bharat because to them “only a Thin Line (intended to
be removed very soon) exists between Pakistan and Bharat otherwise the customs,
rites, language, culture, features, eating habits and in most of the cases”, and
in many cases the blood in our veins is of our common ancestors, hence we have
lot of similarity. Our cultural programs, sports festivals, talk shows, aids on
Media Channels, bill boards, hoardings, neon signs, leaflets, pamphlets and even
academic syllabus, all are pointing in one direction – Erode the religious
values, established norms of the society and dwindle the very basis of the
Creation of Pakistan. The Motherland is bleeding, every next day there are
blasts, explosions, killings and fires; all sponsored, planned and financed by
our No.1 Enemy - Bharat. The nation is mourning, sad, utterly sorrow striken,
the Armed forces are over extended, over committed, and laying their lives for
the integrity and solidarity of Pakistan. They have rendered un-precedent
sacrifices both in men and material. There are many deadly attacks by India, the
most recent: the Explosion in Gulshan – I –Iqbal in Lahore. The Two Nation
Theory is becoming more and more evident. Mind you the mean enemy is all out to
do maximum damage to us!! Should we still keep our eyes closed?
Irrespective of Kashmir being Jegular Vein for Pakistan, we are all out to say
good bye to the Kashmiris. It is only because of the Armed Forces that our hands
are tied up otherwise we would have granted the status of “Most Favoured Nation”
to Bharat.
Pakistan did not inherit much Strategic Depth, as compared to India. However,
Allah was kind enough to bestow on us Strategic Depth till Oxus River by
bringing the best Muslim and brotherly State under Taliban rule in Afghanistan.
We did not value the Gift of Allah. Rather we helped the Infidels to finish off
the Taliban and their Government for ever. By the grace of Allah, all nefarious
efforts of U S lead forces could not achieve desired results. And till today
Taliban are present in Afghanistan. They are surely going to form their
government very soon (We may not be convinced and keep ourselves ignorant of the
reality!)
The Poverty Line has engulfed more than half of the population – 120 m people
enjoy the status of living below Poverty line. Literacy rate despite being very
high (as claimed by the govt), approx 40 m children have not seen primary
schools. Unemployment / under-employment has touched new heights. Scarcity of
medical facilities, poor standard of sanitation, unhygienic living conditions
even in towns and cities, non availability of safe drinking water, and many
other alarming records in various fields of our lives, are indicators of our
economic backwardness. It is irony that the politicians, the government
departments and every one, whenever a chance is provided, try to set new records
in spending, wastage of resources, misappropriation and mismanagement. A special
derive at national level is needed to educate the people and infuse in them the
spirit whereby they become True Muslims and patriot Pakistanis.
Contrary to our claims of fostering the bond of integration among the
tribes/castes and sectarian groups living in all the provinces, we have done an
irreparable damage to the integrity of the State. The politicians are damn busy
in leg pulling of rival leaders. Military actions in Swat and Waziristan have
sown the germs of hatred, anger which if not redressed immediately and
intelligently, will transfer the antipathy to the next generations. This aspect,
as ever, will be exploited by Bharat to the maximum. She is not sparing any
opportunity. The short sighted politicians are unable to comprehend the gravity
of the situation, hence unable to give it due importance. .
It is still time to show our firm commitment with the Ideology of Pakistan and
observe a Day at national level, to promise collectively, once again, that we
will run the affairs of the country as per Dictates of Islam. There is no way
out. The sooner we do it the better it will be.
