Many a time interesting topics
are brought under discussion on various Electric channels in which experienced
analysts (inclined to a particular stance) and well known politicians (Mostly
toeing the party line, difficult to budge an inch from Party stance) express
their views on a particular issue. In most of the cases these analysts in
general and the politicians in particular, instead of giving their personal, but
frank opinion, try to their Party stance. Moreover one is really
surprised to see that many a time, instead of answering a simple question put by
the Anchor person, and telling the truth, they either parry the question or
start blaming the opponent party. It has also been noted that a few of the
politicians / participant, somehow make it a point to criticise late Gen Zia ul
Haq and hold Talban responsible for all types of terrorist activities in
Pakistan.
I ask a few questions to these politicians, analysts and anchor persons with a
strong hope that I will get reasonable and logical answers. I am sure they will
not beat about the bush:
1. It is a pity that the most efficient, sincere, loyal and experienced
politicians (Claiming to protect democracy and befooling the masses in the name
of "Democracy is in danger”) are so far unable to reach the consensus/agreed
TORs. How much time do they need? Do we realize that sane people of the wolrd
are laughing on us?
2. The new rulers are elected through “General Election.” But every time many
fingers are raised about the election results. In view of our past bitter
experience, have our Parliamentarians made any amendments in Election rules
whereby absolutely “Fair” elections are conducted?
3. Corruption is the route cause of poor governess/inefficiency and pathetic law
and order situation. What has been done to harness corruption? Have the
guardians of democracy made any effective law so far?
4. Nepotism and favouritism breeds inefficiency which leads to deterioration of
quality and standards. Are all the heads of the Govt and semi Govt institutions
appointed purely on merit? If not, what remedial measures have been taken?
5. It is a candid opinion that most of the incidents involving heavy loss of men
and property are planned, funded and executed by our old enemy i.e., Bharat.
There is a long list of such Anti Pakistan blasts, the Quetta incident being the
latest. It is beyond doubt that Bharat is deadly against our existence. Without
going into details of her past moves/actions against Pakistan, I would like to
mention: In order to keep the hatred alive and motivate her masses against
Pakistan Army, before the start of any film in cinema houses, a trailer of the
“Surrender Ceremony” at Dhaka, is shown to the viewers. India is deadly against
the CPEC project. She is all out to create maximum hurdles to undo this project.
She is hitting us at vital places; to create unrest, insurgency in Baluchistan,
sense of insecurity among the masses and divert our attention from the freedom
movement in IHJ&K. Should we still keep importing vegetables and fruits from
India? We are already under Cultural Invasion by Bharat. How many of the
politicians have raised their voice against it? Answer is almost None!!
6. Since Ramzan atrocities by the Indian Army in IHJ&K have crossed all limits.
Indian Army has killed nearly 100 Kashmiris, wounded more than 2,000 (Including
500 blinded through pellet firing). The wounded were hauled up from hospitals
and medicines, food for the patients were blocked. It is over one month that
Sirinagar is under curfew; there is acute shortage of eatables and essential
commodities in the Valley. But in Pakistan, during the same period Indian film
“Sultan” was released. It made a business of Rs: 500 m on Eid day!! What a drain
of resources and that too to our No 1 enenmy! Did the politicians take this
point to the Senate, National or Provincial Assemblies? If so how far it was
effective?
7. Our our print and electronic Media shows Indian ads full of vulgar scenes,
dialogues and objectionable body language without realizing that such activity
is ruining character and morale of our youth. Have our politicians and concerned
Govt functionaries taken any action against this menace?
8. The list showing the numbers of persons availing protocol should be
shortened. Except for the President, Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Chief
Justice of High Courts, PM, and CMs all type of protocols including the security
provided to so many VIPs should be withdrawn. The resources so saved should be
utilized for beefing up over all security in the country. Are we ready to do
that?
9. We have to rewise our priorities; Orange Trains, Health, Law and Order,
Beautification of roads / main Boulevards of major cities, Jobs opportunities,
Protocol of VVIPS/VIPS, Education etc!! This should not be done by the
Politicians as they decide the priorities in view of their personal likings and
dislikings only. The priorities should be fixed by the experts and technocrats
only. A 5 Year Plan should be devised and no new government should be allowed to
change those priorities. We have to be serious and deviate from the set pattern
followed since many decades. Are the politicians ready to accept the reality and
act accordingly?
10. Talban remained in power for nearly four years. BBC paid homage to them by
terming their tenure as the most peaceful on the globe. Our western borders were
absolutely safe. How many bomb blasts/sucidal attacks in Pakistan during this
period? The answer is: “Nil”!! What forced Pakistan to provide Logistic support
to NATO and Alliance under US? So far we suffered: martyred, 60.000. resources
worth billions of dollars were consumed/destroyed. Did we not commit Strategic
blunder against our National interests?
11. We stood with the aggressor and uprooted the legitimate, friendly (first
time after 1947) Islamic government (First time after many centuries) in
Afghanistan. We also got Strategic depth till the Oxus River. Our Western border
was safe. The Armed forces, required to defend this border, were free; could be
used elsewhere, in emergency. This had worried the Indians. India wanted to
create some permanent commitment for Pakistan Army. Will we go unchecked and
unpunished for this Sin/Crime against Talban, the present and the future
genarations of Pakistanis, with the Creator, the Just and the Omni Present, the
Omni Potent Almighty Allah? Have any of the politicians/analysts/thinkers ever
realized this and tried to convince Pakistanis to repent over our national
sin/failing?
12. There has been a long row of target killings, murders, blasts and fires.
Most of these sad incidents, as per Electronic Media, through calls from unknown
places, were immediately claimed by Talban. Media was over clever and it
appeared as if the Talban representative was sitting in the room next to
transmission room of the concerned Channel. But since Rangers came into action
in Karachi, in many of these cases, new culprits are being pointed out and the
traces lead towards political parties, instead of Talban. It is high time that
instead of holding Talban responsible for every bomb blast/target killing, we
conduct absolutely fair inquiry and unearth the culprits. Let us come out of the
“blame gaming” tactics. Have the Politicians, the well wishers of Pakistan
realized it? If not so far, then how much time will they take?
As a Pakistani, I am also grief-struck over any news of murder, target killing,
bomb blast or suicidal attack, simply because human resources of Pakistan are
drenched in blood, the much needed material resources are damaged/destroyed.
Many of the families pass through grief, sorrow and mental agony. Countless
parents, mothers, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters and children suffer for
rest of their lives. Many become cripple; a constant burden on the society. In
fact we all suffer in one way or the other.
Can we stop this all? Surely there is a solution to the problem. The only
solution: we have to change our outlook, the style of governess and
determination to forego some of the facilities entitled to me; sacrifices for
others, for the Beloved Country!! And above all I need to know my enemy, my real
friends and every Pakistani has to do that. It is much needed, educate others.
