Unity and Integrity - Pakistan would be Superpower

(Syed Manazir-ul-Haq, Karachi)

Unity is the combining of separate elements to give an embodied shape i.e. being one. Separate things are easily broken and scattered, but firmly combined elements do not. Unity is strength, whereas disarray is weakness. It is established fact that due to the unity of the Muslim, Pakistan came into being under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and he always used to stress over three elements i.e. unity, faith and discipline.

Integrity on the other hand denotes moral principles and uprightness. It is considered that integrity leads to success, but it should be understood that success is come and go, but integrity is forever and it warrants that person must do the right thing.

Social and political analysis of Pakistan shows that Pakistani nation is scattered and divided into different sects – one proud of being Sindhi and the 2nd being Punjabi and so on. The students’ union also activates on the basis of sects and race not on the basis of unity, resultantly students are also divided. Due to disarray, Pakistan is confined with internal and external threat and its existence is in danger. Extremism has been engulfing Pakistan for more than a decade leading loss of lives and properties. The confidence of the world over Pakistan is shattered and people do not like to come to Pakistan even world renowned cricketers avoid to travel to Pakistan. Pakistan is being isolated day by day due to extremism and disarray. But Pakistan has a bright future and the golden age of the Muslim is near to come.

Past history of the Muslims shows that due to the unity and integrity they captured the world. No forces could have stood up against them. They utterly defeated the two superpowers of that time. Their “NO” was called the “NO” of the world and their “YES” was called the “YES” of the world. This golden age can emerge again if rulers and masses adopt Unity and Integrity. The Federal and Provincial Governments should make their policies keeping in view unity and integrity. The syllabus all over Pakistan should be reformed projecting unity and integrity. The press and electronic media of Pakistan should also be streamlined by way of unity and integrity. It appears that unity and integrity soon would be prevalent in Pakistan. Pakistan will become a superpower of the world – InshaAllah. Pakistan “NO” would be the “NO” of the world and Pakistan “YES” would be the “YES” of the world by blessing of Allah in the near future.
