This Calorie Calculator is based on the Mifflin - St Jeor equation. The formula to calculate the BMR is:

BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) - 5 * age(y) + 5 (man)
BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) - 5 * age(y) - 161 (woman)

The calories essential to maintain weight equals to the BMR value, multiplied by an activity factor. To loss 1 pound, or 0.5kg per week, you need to remove 500 calories from your daily meal. Maintain proper exercise and diet schedule. It is suggested not to lose more than 1000 calories per day. Balance your diet with nutritious food.
