Mudhsuden Singh Panesar, his pet name Monty Panesar (born 25 April 1982 in Luton, Bedfordshire), is an English cricketer. He is left-arm spinner bowler in England cricket team. Panesar has certain mental attributes that help with his spin bowling. Initially he has an oddly large hand, measuring 10 inches, and can also rotate his hand at his wrist through 360 degrees.
His first Test wicket was that of the much respected Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Panesar has exposed signs of potential, but he is not yet a positive batsman, averaging about seven runs per innings. Over the last few years his abilities in the field and with the bat improved progressively, but it was Panesar's ability with the ball that has enabled him to keep the role of England's number-one spin bowler before being replaced my Graeme Swann in 2008. Panesar loves preparation and is becoming famous for being a fussy worker, regularly leaving the practice ground after everyone else.
