In a statement shared on social media, Naqvi expressed enthusiasm over the return of the tournament, saying: “PSL X picks up from where it left off! Six teams, zero fear. Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket.”

The league will resume with eight action-packed matches, culminating in the grand final scheduled for May 25.

This restart comes after the Pakistan-India ceasefire, which helped stabilise the regional situation and allowed sporting activities to resume. The league's return is expected to energise cricket fans across the country, with preparations underway to ensure smooth operations and tight security at all venues.

All six franchises will be in action as the tournament resumes, and the PCB chairman extended his best wishes to the teams, stating: “Best of luck to all the teams!”

The PSL was briefly suspended last week after India launched a barbaric attack on Pakistan, which resulted in 51 martyrdoms, 40 civilians and 11 security personnel.
